Twinkle kaur Sarna Kunj singh sarna Yuvraj singh luthra coz its nexessary to use dese surnames.. moreover.. dey have just taken punjabi backdrop.. but dey dont show sikh family... nd who ever was saying dat its lame.. i dont feel dey ever go against any religion.. dey havent shown anything yet which needed to be opposed.. its just they r giving us a message dat GOD IS ONE!!!😊

1.kesh(hairs.. They can't cut them neither they can shave..)

2. Kada (silver plated bangle)

3 kripan(knife)

4 kanghi..(comb)

And there is one more thing starting from k only.. Dry abi yaad no aara..

1.Remember that Twinkle didn't want to cut her hair when Yuvi told her (when they were dating + his childish track).

3. Plus Leela gave Kunj RT's kirpan knife before their marriage. He had it with him when Yuvi buried him alive.

Nd 5th one is keshra.. thats only for men.. not for women..
Nd let me explain d all process.. as i m a sikh here i guess..
Our 10th guru ji has rewritten our guru granth sahib ji.. where the starting chants are.. :IK ONKAR
which means god is one.. u mentioned all d 5 kakkars very well.. but dese 5 kakkars are need to be borne by the one who we say jisne amrit shakka hoyia hai.. as its really a difficult task so only few people can do dat nd its necessary only fr them to wear all dese 5 kakkars.. nd den comes d saying god is one.. our 9th guru ji that is GURU TEG BAHADUR JI sacrificed dere life for hindu pandits to save dem from d rudeness of mughals.. so if dey can savrifice dere life for another religion why do we create religion a issue to comment on..
Telling abt this serial.. it just have a punjabi backdrop.. have u heard anyone telling once dat dey r sikh.. yes dey r following many of the ritiuls of sikhs but babies if they were sikh then dey need to have SINGHS ND KAURS behind there names.. like KUNJ SINGH SARNA, TWINKLE KAUR SARNA AND YUVRAJ SINGH LUTHRA... so i m just trying to explain dat dis serial only shows a punjabi backdrop but its not a pure silk serial.. have u seen KUMKUM BHAGYA its also a serial with punjabi backdrop but dat does not make it a sikh community serial..

Twinj are Sikhs. Firstly twinkle and leela were introduced in the gurudwara in the first episode. Moreover the couple keep going to the gurudwara. Twinkle even talks to Babaji when she lies to Leela in the first few episodes. On careful observation leela and bebes room have photos of Navajo.

I am a Punjabi and Sikh too so i can clear ur doubt 😛
See there is Taneja,Sarna and luthra's ...

- Punjabi's means the people belong to Punjab be it Sikh ,Hindu, Muslim or Christian. People living there or anyhow related to Punjab is Punjabi. So there is no point of wearing pagadi.
- these families they showed going to gurudwara sahib and doing Path..but their surnames suggest dey are hindus not sikhs...
- Sikhs are known by SINGH for male and Kaur for female .. like they hv last name or middle name Singh or Kaur respectively.
- Some people follow the rules and dun cut hair and beard and not clean shaven and some dun follow..it depends on you.Wearing Turban is also depends on choice and only Punjabi Sikhs wear Turban not all punjabi's as there live all religion people. but u can easily recognise person wearing turban dat he is punjabi as its Unique symbol guru sahab gives us.

- Yes , Fast and worshipping idols not allowed in Sikhs but as Punjabi or other religion u can..Even these days sikhs doing everything. BUT still nobody make Sikh Guru's idols to worship as its totally against what guru sahib Taught and unlike other god and Goddess which dey show dat Krishn ban gayye or Shivji ban gayye but here u can't even make any Random person or any person living here to Portray sikh gurus on Screen.
-Sikh means is seekhna dat means to learn. Not every punjabi is included in sikhs.

-Karwachauth is a punjabi festival or north indian festivals and mostly hindu's keep d fast not sikh ladies ..

I think now ur confusion is cleared.

Twinj are Sikhs. Most of the times they went to a gurudwara. Moreover in a few initial episodes she kept saying babaji.
