Hello Guys!
I spent the whole day today binge watching this show and I have to say, I'm in love! They have got the right set of characters and an amazing, fresh story to play with here. I still have 10 more episodes to go but I couldn't help but make this post.
What lead me to watch and get hooked on to the show was Maya's character. She is the first intense female character I have seen and it is amazing! She's dark, possessive, strong and has no limits (or so I think; dec. 6 will confirm that).
Many say that Arjun will save her. But I disagree, her love for him is the reason she will fall deeper and deeper into her darkness. Her limitless love for Arjun will take her to new lengths to possess him and means she will use to do so may destroy her completely along with almost everyone in their lives.
Arjun has become a drug to her. She will do anything to have this drug because it gives her a temporary sense of happiness. But in the long run, I see her as being controling, destorying any women who lay thier eyes on him and eventually destroying him as well as herself. Similar to what drugs do to a person.
I see Saanjh as the saviour, and while saving Arjun, she may even save Maya. She to me is the lightness in the dark, a cold breeze in the heat. I think She will be the one taking a stand to save Arjun. This is seen in the very first episode where Maya's duppata wraps around Arjun's face which he is driving and Saanjh rips it off of him saving them both.
I don't have much to say about Arjun, he is basically a prized possession that Maya wants and Saanjh has to save. I think he needs to be more appreciative so Saanjh and maybe he will value her a little more when Maya cuts her out of his life. He will be the damsel in distress that Saanjh will have to save. 😆
I don't see a happy ending for all three, a possible bittersweet ending but not a happy ending. This show is called Beyhadh and is suppose to be a romantic thriller due to a main lead being obsessive. That itself says that at least one of the three will have a horrible ending. Maybe Maya can snap out and lead as close to a normal life as possible leaving Arjun to live his own life. That is the better kind of endings I can think of.
Maya is the star of the show though. She is the show, no doubt, I would not be watching it without her.
To me this show is about Maya and how her beyhadh love will burn and destroy everything around her. Not a sweet little love story about Arjun saving her. He will be the one who will need saving by Saanjh.
I love that Indian television has taken this new journey. It reminds me of Viraj and Saubhagyavati Bhava but the lead here is female.
Anyone have a take on my analysis of the show?
