Jenny's of course a powerhouse of talent but that's not the point. The character of Maya comes across as desperate and not empowered. She's someone like Glenn Close's character from Fatal Attraction. I find her characterization to be devious and not as someone who can charm someone's socks off with their charismatic demeanor. I genuinely feel Jen has made a mistake in choosing a show that's pretentious and has nothing to offer her as an actor.
Extremely sry that i am quoting you like that but why fo you think her character has nothing to offer her.
IT IS DIFFICULT TO PLAY A CHARACTER LIKE MAYA !
All our female leads are so boring .we wouldnt give a damn to watch shows with mahaan female leads if there are no heros ...basically we love to watch lovestories and the hero-heroine interaction...and hero might be flavoured differently but heroines are all same (almost not mucH diff)
For just to let you know this is the first jenny's show that i am watching and i love seeing her in this avatar .Beyhadd doesnt bore me so this show is currently my most fav.
Jenny is the female lead here ..you can say Antagonist but that is not a problem ...not at all for me .The show revolves around Maya so in every way this is a total win-win for jenny .Lovestories are not the only things that ppl should watch or love. I have seen a hindi film with same storyline ..totatlly same but the antagonist 's performance was so poor ...nothing compared to what jenny is doing as Maya.
Jeny is getting highly appreciated for her stellar performance and what new could have she done...all female leads have same nature of genes
In them.
So in my p.o.v. jeny has taken one of the best decisions. This shows her versatality which most actresses lack.I have seen actresses with average performances getting fame by starring in lovestories opp. A hot male lead or many leads lol but not every actor's journey is same. Jeny is a fantastic actress and this role required majorly that.It is easy to play a dumb female lead but to play maya is not everyone's cup of tea :)
