Tell me, tell me, who in their right minds would want to be in Maya's general vicinity? Lets face it, Maya is damaged to a great extent and her behaviour is nothing less than that of a psychotic being. The entire episode show cased how successful Maya was in scaring the hell out of Saanjh (and me) because, honestly, who wouldn't freak out at this kind of conduct? I'd be greatly disappointed if the spoilers of Maya plotting to kill Saanjh turns out to be true. No, this is not the Maya I had signed up for. I'm all for a damaged and mentally ill Maya but if the spoilers are anything to go by, then Maya would just be plain evil. I am willing decode and deconstruct a damaged person but I am not willing to waste my energy and empathy over someone who deserves none of it. However, those spoilers are yet to play out and I hope they don't, ever.
Maya's purpose of calling Saanjh over proved to be successful. She has not only conveyed her love for Arjun to Saanjh but also showed her what hell Maya would unleash does Saanjh even dare to come between her and Arjun. Maya's such a intriguing character to watch though, someone who'd intimidate you, leave you in a conflicted position, make you want to resent her but yet you can't bring yourself to do any of that fully because you know what she's been through and how she's been treated herself. I hope eventually Maya transforms into a good soul, complete opposite to what she's today. Not for Arjun, not for Jhanvi, not for anyone else but this transformation is needed for her own self because the poison she holds inside will only ravage her to the core. Because the acid of hatred, bitterness and toxicity she holds inside will do more damage to the vessel it is stored in than on anyone else it is poured on; the vessel in this case is Maya herself. She'll take a long while to understand that pyaar mein kuch karo toh jisse pyaar karo usse abaad karo, barbaad nahi.
Poor Saanjh must be shaken up so bad. She's just learnt that someone like Maya loves Arjun and she probably can't even decide what to do, whether to nurse the pain of a broken heart, a snatched dream and a bitter reality, whether to encourage Arjun to find love in Maya knowing what she really is and how such a love brings nothing good or whether or not to just tell him the truth of the meeting out of the fear Maya instilled in her. Saanjh, baby, take a hug. 🤗 I don't think Saanjh will tell Arjun the truth of reality meets illusions meeting but I hope she doesn't dismiss Maya's behaviour and keeps a close watch for further alarms that are bound to get off in the future. I'm counting on Saanjh though to unravel the mystery that Maya is, I don't think any other character has that kind of a nazar to look beyond and through people. People are either frightened of Maya or just amazed by her but no one yet has had the thought or will to look beyond the illusion or facade.
Jhaanvi is another character I can't seem to completely understand. At one hand, I feel sorry for her for the kind of life she has been subjected to but on the other hand, she's equally responsible for the state she and Maya are in today. Such a weak woman and a mother. One fleeting and fake attempt from Ashwin and Jhaanvi goes all heart eyes for him. Seriously woman, if you of all people cannot see how that man has ruined you and your daughter then anyone else coming to your rescue is of no use.
Waiting for the proposal track to come up. Its going to be interesting to watch how Arjun refuses to Maya's proposal and then begins to fall in love with her. 😆
