Snowbells ring, are you listening?

In the lane, snow is glistening.

Okay it hasn't really snowed where I live yet,

And I'm talking Chicago...the windy city.

In fact, about 2 weeks ago I actually had the AC on.

I guess Global Warming isn't a hoax

invented by the Chinese after all.

Oh well...whether you're walking in a winter wonder land or not,

Our intention here is to have fun.

So let's get started...

Hello to all my lovely fellow Deshians.

Christmas is only a month away,

and it is undoubtedly one of my favorite times of the year.

Why? Because I love the lights, the scents, the sights and sounds

and the whole giving spirit of the season.

So why not bring that spirit of giving...and receiving to our

Kis Desh Forum?

What am I talking about?

Secret Santa of course.

That's right, you are all invited to join in and play this wonderful game.

Here's how the game works:

1. Click the like button on the post below if you want to participate. If you are unable to click the like button...no worries...just leave a message on this thread that you'd like to participate.

2. Post a message in this thread that briefly describes some of the things you like. I know many of us already know each other, but this will help give your Santa an idea about what kind of a gift you'd like this year.

3. The last day to join the game is December 10.

Note: Absolutely no late comers accepted.

4. All participants will be randomly assigned a partner.

5. Make a gift for your assigned partner and deliver it to Santa (that's me Fatima_Q) by December 22.

Note: No late deliveries please...it gives me heart palpitations...unless of course, you have a very good reason and contact me via PM I'll still get heart palpitations but we'll work something out.

6. Do Not...and I repeat...Do Not...write your name or the receiver's name on the gift. You may how ever write a greeting of your choice. For example (and these are just samples):

"Merry Christmas from your Secret Santa!"

"Happy Holidays!"

"A Surprise from your Secret Santa!"

7. As the due date approaches, I will send out reminder PMs to all the participants. Please be timely and remember my poor heart.

8. On Christmas Day (or give or take a day)...the gifts will be delivered and we'll have fun guessing who your Secret Santa (gift maker) was. (I messed up on this part last year...but not this time 😆)

Rules:

1. No requesting partners...they will be assigned randomly to you...no exceptions.

2. Don't sign up for the game if you can't give a gift(s).

3. If you sign up and don't submit a gift...the gift meant for you will be given to someone else.

4. Don't sign up and forget about the game, because then your partner will not get a gift and that's just not fair.

Gifts:

1. No gifts violating any of the India Forum rules will be accepted.

2. Gifts may be anything you can think of. For example: A poem, a piece of writing, a picture, siggie, avi, VM, etc.

3. There is no limit on the maximum number of gifts you can give. You do of course have to make a minimum of 1 gift. 😳

4. You don't have to be an artist to participate. In the past people have given pics of shoes, necklaces, dresses, and boxes of chocolates, as gifts. They're easily found on the net.

5. If you need help...I'm here for you...but please don't wait until the last minute to ask for it. 🤔

In the end, it's not the gift, but the thought behind it that counts. The whole point is to have a fun forum activity and bring a smile to someone's face.
