Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khans cricket film?

Kabir Khan's next is Tubelight' with Salman Khan but, as BizAsiaLive.com reported a couple of months ago, the filmmaker is all set to make a film about the 1983 Cricket World Cup for which India emerged champions. News now has it that Ranveer Singh might be seen as protagonist.

DNA reports that initially it was Arjun Kapoor who was approached by Khan but now it seems Singh is the one who may well sign on the dotted line. It's thought that the filmmaker and Singh are in advanced stages of discussions about the film and so there is a likelihood that they could be joining hands for the venture.

Singh is indeed a popular actor following the success of his recent films. He's getting set for his next release Befikre' which will arrive next month.
