Clarify my doubt plz

I have recently started watching this show. I have doubts regarding Yug. Y is he so rude to his wife. Does he hate Rishab. Y did he help aparajita.does he know that she is brahmarakshash. Is he a positive character or negative?

I think they are showing Yug as an abuser, may be they have a track with that in mind not sure. Or may be they want to show he has bad nature unlike Rishabh.
I don't think he hates Rishabh. Yug has always supported Rishabh even when Brini attacks Rishabh he brings him back.
He helps aparajita because he is in debt and needs money. She promised him if he helps her com back to Svs home she will give him money,
I don't think he is positive or negative character, he is a victim of his situation. ie bad habits.

I am actually confused about why a lot of people are there. Mitally, her brother, yug, naina all useless I don't see any meaningful reason. They have 1 or 2 dialogues. Kishwer gets a long monologue which sounds so boring at times. They could just give these a few more lines. Yug is definitely underutilized.may be abhas was not getting any role so he took this up.
