Hi Nikki I too was watching the election results, although I did not stay up most of the night, as I was getting upset by the results. I had hoped that we women would have made history by the first woman getting elected for the powerful country called USA. I am very disappointed and disheartened by the sad state of affairs of the person who got elected and who shouldn't have been elected. I am very fearful for the people, especially the minorities of my neighboring country. We will see how this all unfolds.

Hey Mandy, welcome to CCC...

I still don't know how to react. I couldn't sleep that night because my husband was watching the coverage.

Reading all the comments in other sections of the forum... Well those are some scary comments.

Hi Nikki: I can totally understand your situation, you still are part of that country and are directly affected, so you do have to be cautious. For some of us we can take potshots from the sidelines as we are not directly affected.

Only time is going to tell how this all will unfold. I just hope that lot of what we heard during campaign is not going to be a reality. My sincere wishes are that all minorities will be OK and not suffer. Good luck. God bless you all.
