Part 1

Dharam is running a multinational hotel in London who gives guaranteed services to the customers. He does not compromise with the quality & is open to the customer's feedback & suggestion. All the cooks are preparing the various dishes & are throwing the extra things in the dustbin.

Dharam sees one cook putting the cut onions in the thawa & later on oil. Dharam said, "First put the oil, then hing. Then put the onions. If you think that oil can substitute hing & hing can do onions's work, I don't think you can work here. You need to look for a job elsewhere."

He goes to the next cook & sees him squeezing the lemon to the boiling dal.
Dharam: Any problems in your eyesight? The dal is boiling and you are putting lemon to it now? Put the lemon 6 sceconds after it cools.

The other cook said: It is ok Sir.
Dharam: Ok is the most common and the worst statement that is used worldwide. For your information, this is not a restaurant which accepts ok. Ok means neither good nor bad.
The cook said: Ok Sir (Looking at Dharam's expression) he said, "Yes sir."
Dharam: Good.

One of the cook's phone rings.
Dharam: Shut the bl***y phone off.
The cook said: right Sir.
He is searching for the phone in his pocket.
Dharam shouts: What do you think? Is cooking an occupation? It is the world's greatest art. Whatever paintings you see on the wall only attracts people's eyeballs. But the work we are doing attracts eyes, nose & mouth. So we are the greatest artists. Do you think that London based Indian restaurant formed just like that? No, this has been & always remain as the London's best restaurant & you should be proud of it. If you aren't so & are keen in compromising with the art & quality, then there are many fraud Indian restaurants which is the right place for you guys to fool many Britishers who are fond of Indian dishes. You will find attractive paintings like horses, elephants & Taj Mahal in India's name. I repeat, this is London's finest restaurant. Not some fraud shit.

A waiter comes with a plate returned with the food. Dharam glares at him.

Waiter: This is Hyderabadi saifrani pulav.
Dharam: Genius, thanks for the information. But why is it coming here? Why is it not going there?
Waiter: The lady has returned it. She is saying that it is sweet. The actual one is not sweet. It is spicy. She says, it is a fraud restaurant.

Dharam goes downstairs & sees Meera & her friend sitting there.
Dharam: Did you order for this dish?

Meera: Yes, i've ordered for it.

Dharam: Is this the first time you are coming to London from India?

Meera: Yes.
Dharam: What wrong do you find in this dish? As per our history, our Hyderabadi zafrani pulav has not been coming in. It has always being going out. This is the first time it is happening like that. I may be wrong in thinking that ours is the best. I want to know how it is being made at your place? If you have not stepped in the kitchen even once, call your mother & ask how it is being made. I'm waiting for your reply.

Meera & her friend walk out. The girl said, "He is such a psycho."

After some time, Dharam goes to medical stores & asks for arthritis tablets.

The store keeper said: You don't look like arthritis patient..
Dharam: This is my mother's prescription. Mine is BP. I'm sure that in your eyes, i am a person with high BP.

He purchases the medicines & goes home.

Gaura: Are you going to the gym today?
Dharam: Take these medicines.
Gaura: Forget about me. Think about yourself. Go to the gym, do jogging. What should I do being healthy? Today, you are fine but once you are 75, it will be hard for you to breathe & you will start panting after walking 2 steps. when you carry 1 kg, you will be taken to the hospital with a stretcher.

Dharam: Enough.
She goes to the kitchen & tells his photo, "Such a big chef is not having food at his restaurant."

Dharam: You still have to do a lot of things like cooking food & serving others, making tasty moong dal, karelas & many more. Your sickness should not stop me from enjoying your food.

Next day at Restaurant the cooks are doing their work.

Dharam asks, "What is this?"

The man answered: Kheema salad moong pulav.

Dharam: What is that?

The man answered: It is the stuffed chicken rice dish frarant dish.

Dharam: It is kheema filled salad stuff right?

The man answered: Right salad pulav

Dharam: Salad pulav

He shouts, "What the hell is going on? Whether it is british, Chinese or African, I don't care. This is an Indian restaurant. First get the name of the dishes right. Till you know these, this person will not go out & get the orders. Understood?"

The waiter comes to the kitchen with the same thing.

Dharam tastes it & said, everything is there except sugar. This is the finest zafrani pulav in the world that even a dead person cannot refuse it."

Waiter: It was not made here. someone has prepared it & sent it for you.

Dharam comes down & sees Meera going. The background song is

Dharam comes out

Dharam sees Meera leaving & goes to te kitchen. He asked,"How did zafrani pulav become sweet that day?"

One of the cooks said: I don't know.

Dharam: who made that?

Cook said,"I don't know."

Dharam goes to them & asks, "What is this?'

Cook: this is salt.

Dharam: How do you make out whether it is sugar or salt?

Cook; It is a daily routine.

Looking at woman's photo, he asked, "who is she?"

Cook: She's my wife. She is in India.

Dharam: How many years you are away from her?

Cook: 2 years?

Dharam: Don't you miss her?

Cook:Yes, I do.

Dharam: what you do when you miss her?

Cook: I look at her photo.

Dharam: do one thing. Looking at her photo, add salt to the food.

The cook looks at the photo and takes the ingredient.

Dharam tastes it & said,"Salt is becoming sweet right?"

Cook: No, it is sugar.

Dharam: when do you intend to take your wife's photo & go to India?

Cook: Sorry Sir.

Dharam: Tomorrow morning, book the flight ticket to India

& leaves.

The cook gets shocked

Dharam running d finest restaurant in london.somehow i felt that d pics u put have given a feeling that d story is set in london,dharam giving imp 2 even d minutest thing of cooking shows how sincere he is.guess u changed gaura here.cool.dheera meeting was cute.but what i loved d most is meera entrusting d waiter 2 giv d pulav she brought 4 dharam n dharam seeing meera going away with cheenikum song.i appreciate ur efforts 2 find apt cooking pics n make edits.loved dheera edits n dharam gaura edit.

i'vent seen cheenikum tho i tried 2 get its cd many times.cudnt watch it on tv too.since i'vent watched it i'm eager 2 know how this story proceeds.is this ff exactly like Chhenikum or r u making changes?

Nice start
so dharam is a head chef
seems he knows what he wants n is very strict
he insulted meera when she sent back his dish
only when she returned after making same dish did he query how it happened
n the poor chef who made mistake got fired
looks like he owes meera an apology
