Amrapali I think, it was made around same time as Moghal E Azm, but not as successful (in fact flop). But I rate it above other movies because of its content.

Wow! I am surprised you mentioned Amrapali... It's got everything good story, great songs, good looking leads, romance, beautiful Vyjayantimala and her dance in beautiful costumes... Yet it was not a success and not many know about it

It has dramatic war scenes but also anti war message

And I think the songs are Indian classical music based

Sorry for the late reply, slowly going to work my way through all of these 😊

I guess it would have been easier to say Bollywood musicals haha. The songs almost make me want to learn Hindi, although the language situation of India does kind of put me off, and that I'm in my final year of a Japanese degree that I should be focusing on lol.
