I might be called a hypocrite for this post coz all these days I called Shivay's judging ppl on their Name, Bloodline n Lineage wrong...called it his obsession, he is still obsessed n quite rigid althought!!. I always thought he was wrong in judging Anika for her name, class, social status...(He still is wrong in her case n Anika over Shivay any day for me😆😛)

But today its not about Anika. Its about Shivay and his obsession with Name, Bloodline, Lineage, Class.

I am not obsessed like him, but after a long long thought...putting myself in his place n empathizing a lil bit with him...I got my answers...he gave the much needed Reality Check in a way!!

Want to know wat other ppl in his place would have done?

1) Unless u r madly in love with someone below ur class, ur social status n community standards...will u marry a person with no Surname, or who is an illegitimate child but tells u the truth about his identity? Will u just be as great and sacrificial u expect Shivay to be?

2) Okay not about u ...but would u allow ur siblings to marry a person, who is an illegitimate child of someone...or low in social status and class...way below ur standards or or Family Name (arrange marriage case)

3) Do u, in real life, not give any importance to Class, Bloodline at all...especially in cases of life long relationships...especially in arrange marriages ppl look for an alliance with equal class if not better?

4) Idealism, Sacrifice, Truth over Family and Achchayi over Class n Status n Family Name...which one for u?

I think all of us are flawed in some way...we all are influenced by the society, old beliefs, Khoon Khaadaan in some or other way...talking idealism and practicing it are two different things.

We (most of us) r being hypocritical in Shivay's case me feels

I just realized why and how much I connect to Shivay more now.

Unless u fall in love with a person for his good side like Shivay will for Anika...u cannot really consider marrying someone below ur status...below ur standards (education, class, background)...family name is very important too. One might think of compromising all this in love marriage.

Anika is an exception. She has a lot more than all that she doesn't have🤔 And who knows wat lies in her past...I still feel she knows about her real family but chooses to not speak about it...may be she is from a rich background...so can't really judge her.

But I still cannot hate on Shivay for wat he did today...!

I slightly agree with Om too...Relationships should not be based on a Lie...Truth should be the foundation of every relationship...but even if Mr. Chabbra had old the truth, Shivay would have said a No...and even Tej, as he is Prinku's dad.

Just wanted to put forward a different perspective...Shivay's...he is not completely wrong here...he is only thinking his family n sister's well being n I can so relate to it. The Chabbra family was wrong anyway and their intentions looked so not right by hiding such a big truth and who knows if Dev was ever goin to disclose the truth even later, why not at the first meet itself!

Can't really hate Shivay until he trashes Anika really bad again without any fault of hers (as per the precap) which will make him hate for him for some time atleast 😆

But right now he is only being a realist n I support him !!!

Lying is wrong, but blaming a person for illegitimacy is wrong, because Dev had no choice there😊

Lineage, bloodline and wealth hardly means a good parvarish😛

SSO wasnt wrong in parts, because lying is lying, and we'll never really know if Dev would hv said the truth or not later🤔

However i still also think that SSO shouldnt force his ideals, his thoughts, his principles on the others! Just because he considers everyone else out there not equal to him as trash, hardly makes people become trash in real life👎🏼

I agree with Om on the part where he said that both are trying to view things from their POV, but they should have considered Prinku also in this case! I also agree that Prinku is very young and inexperienced in life, but unless you let her fall, stumble and get back up, how the hell will the girl even learn!

Protecting a sister is good, over-protecting her and somehow crowding her and forcing her to do things is wrong...

So to conclude, SSO was right, but somehow the way he dealt and the words he used were wrong😆

In arranged marriage ppl look for equal family background and status in most ways unless they didn't get suitable bride or groom. One by one expectation will relaxed if they didn't get suitable one. 😆 In arranged marriage its union of two families as well like shivaay also said. Why will anyone take rishta to someone lesser? Doesn't make sense.

In my openion lying and canceling infirmation is wrong but putting down someone just because they are illegitimate is also wrong

Shivaye was not totally wrong however he shoukd have asked Priyanka what she thinks. Also i think there is a difference in telling people you found out their truth and being totally rude. Calling someone illegitimate is rude

However i also think their is a difference between love and arranged marriage

When one falls in love first these things dont matter but when one ones arranges a match one does look at all this. I cant believe Priyanka has fallen in love in one day.

And if she has she shouls say so. Take a stand instead of crying

She is looking for an escape route in Anika

She should tallk to her brother

So the blane is not just of SSO but of pri and chabra family too

Shivay did not blame Dev for his illegitimacy, he "confronted" the Chabbras and told them that they would have never said yes for the alliance had they told the truth in the very first meet.

Upbringing is a different thing, neither Shivay talked about it nor me in the post.

He did not force his ideals ever on others, not from where I see...he doesn't ever stop Om from following his ideals and neither questions Rudra on wat "Class" does the girl he's dating belongs to.

But here it was about his sister...no one would like their sister to get married to a guy who is an illegitimate child...only some noble soul would,...😆

Considering Prinku's case😆 The girl who fell for a guy just seeing his photograph and a 2 sec. handshake with him without knowing anything about his life n family or anythin for that matter? I am glad they didn't ask Prinku's opinion here!

I don't agree with Shivay being over protective or forcing Prinku for anything...Tej as her father also said a No, Dadi did too in a way and Jhanvi also showed her disappointment. So all can't be wrong.

Exactly.. In arranged marriages still status, cast and background plays a major role.

We can talk that it is wrong, shivaay shouldnt do this n all. But this is the reality.

Love marriages are different case. But when parents and sibilings are seeing match for u, they will check all this even before informing u about the match.

No one will give their daughter or sister to illegitimate child.

They may be the best partner for their kid, but if they is a problem in their background then no marriage. Thats the sad truth.

Putting down dev's image in front of unknown people was completely wrong even saying it loud in front of his own family.. dev being illegitimate child is a personal matter and very sensitive.. he should have discussed it one on one first and then brought it out loud later... this was open insult .. and moreover it is not devs fault that he is illegitimate. He was wrong there..

But rest all you said I agree.. not even upper middle class people would choose a nobody for their daughter or son or even a partner who has a lesser degree in education than them... This is a true fact!.. I totally agree!

But the WAY shivaay handles the problems is what I don't like!
