M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story (Hindi) has collected well on Monday again with around 7.50 crore nett but the trend is weak as the drop is around 60-65% from day one. If the 7 crore nett plus Monday is looked at as a standalone then its a good Monday but considering how the film went over the weekend its Monday number is not up to the mark. The four day total is good at 69 crore nett beating the first week totals of most films released this apart from five films. The drops have come all over but that issue of huge ratio of collections in South India over the weekend has hit the film with big drops in South India.
The film is still a HIT as the first week should go to around 85 crore nett and then it will remain in cinemas till Diwali. The only issue is that Monday should have been better, a 10 crore nett total on Monday was a top end possibility going by the weekend but realistically it should have been around 9 crore nett which would have been a good hold and a 55% drop from day one.
Despite the film unlikely to go onto to be a big winner it is still commendable that the film will recover its high cost at around 100 crore without any face value as far as actors are concerned and no big hit song.
