I will tell you my story of this discovery,
I was in class VII... year 2004. And I had a paragraph writing in my Writing Skills section of my mid term English exam...
I still remember the topic was "If I would have been a bird"
The word limit was strictly no less than 100 words, and I am sorry to tell, I got stuck at 80 words... I knew, I am surely going to lose marks if I don't stick up to somewhere near 100...
And then suddenly words began striking in my mind...
"Bird... Heard... eh? can I rhyme? Oh come on, if it rhymes for more than two sentences, I would go on, or I would strike it off..."
You see I never had that thing to score the max marks... As far as I am able to pass the exams, every other thing can go to hell if it pleases... 😆
And I began writing... I remember the first few juvenile lines by me...
If I would have been a bird,
My voice could be heard.
I would in the morning play,
And would be happy all day..
Something something of that sort... I had written a good 8 lines poem, which fetched me full marks in that section... And there probably began my inclination towards language subjects rather than the other subjects ...
PS: Oh by the way, when after exam I had told my family that I wrote a poem myself, nobody believed me... All were but having fun on my costs... Believing that I must have read somewhere, and copied in my exam...
It was until I had written half a dozen more poems, that one day my mom decided to test me, asking to write a poem about her...
It took me another ten minutes to jot down an another 8 lines peom on mummy...
It was then she really believed me of the new found skill that I had inherited handsdown from my maternal grandfather, when none of his kids and none of his grandkids did other than me...
And from there on its a new day every other day... You keep on learning... 😃
