IB when starts with the women empowerment and eco-friendly ganpati and other serious social stuffs- I feel like 'mannn, stop okay.'
First, a TV show cannot bloody handle sensitive topics wisely. Most Tv shows. Few may. But definitely not Ishqbaaz.
Second, c'mon Gul, give me the story of these three brothers and stick to that only. don't get preachy. I watch this for entertainment, not for getting empowered. You'd have titled it 'Satyamev Jayate with Oberois' if you are so much into giving social messages.
Rista wohi Soch nahi is just as bland because they cannot even execute it so why the hell do you try it. 😆

But the point is- you don't have to make Shivaay-Omkara argue about women equality. Why do you waste time there. Instead, show Priyanka equally engaged like her brothers in all the social traditions as well as work or wherever it is possible. Infact, Pinky was much more efficient and powerful than the Obros put together in that episode.
And if we talk about South Asian households, the gender biasness runs deep, and hideously sometimes and we all give in to it. Sigh.

honestly,I don't get why the Oberoi house is so backwards ,they seem all modern and everything but only when it comes to the guys. Isn't it weird how all the Oberoi brothers have girlfriends and even exes but none of the young female leads in the show seem to have any romantic history with any guy.
Like guys can flirt with any girl, but of a girl does the same then she's not 'cultured' enough.

I understand that Priyanka has social anxiety, but is that really necessary or is that a way to excuse her lack of dialogues . What makes me upset is that Gul,is such an amazing woman who does so much but in most of her shows she can't portray characters like her.

I think maybe due to religious sentiments...until there's a male head in the family, he does the Aarti with his wife...I feltt Tej should've done it alone otherwise Pinky-Shakti

But if they always prefer younger generation like in first episode too, then I think brothers doing it makes sense... coz I've never seen a female in any household doing it until male members are there.

Dadi doing it could have also made sense as she is the eldest and also the head of family.

not everything has to be associated with Gender Equality

I agree...
The youngest in the family the daughter also makes sense to mee...!!!
😊

P.S
Atleast mere ghar mein toh aisa hota hai...!

I think we are going to have a different story for prinku in future.

Also, there actually exist families like that modern enough for the boys to do anything and girls have their limits..!!!And generally they are the rich families..!!
No offence to any1..

But this is a show which brought up equality,so why can't they show girls dating. From what I've seen so far, none of the girls are stopped by their families.
Jhanvi had an ex and if Tej was her lover or something, and daadi seemed pretty fine with that. If they didn't mind it in that generation they won't have problems with the current generation girls dating.Plus not just the Oberois but also all the other girls on the show.
Most kids of rich families I have seen seem to let their kids do whatever they want...irrespective of gender...especially in more modern cities, unless they're the extremely traditional type like the raichands in kabhi khushi kabhi gham😆. It would be nice if they could show a positive female character who's had more than one boyfriend ,if Rudra can date a different girl everyday(and if people are ok with it) is it that hard to see a girl having more than one love interest?

Just my opinion,no offence to anyone😳
