I think it is the prevalent mentality .
Even those so called modern girls and guys, who wear shorts and dresses on their own, with friends, will tend to impress or the guy will force the girl to impress their parents wearing those all covered dresses

While there is nothing wrong in wearing saree and salwar , the whole idea of suppressing who you are I find stifling.
Because people tend to expect wrong thing.
Nowadays , everyone have become realistic enough to understand those who work, go out with friends, travel alone will have a mind of their own and might wear something they feel comfortable in.

Any relationship which starts by hiding or trying to change someone's nature does not work out really.

There is only so much you can suppress while resenting your partner for making you do so.

That maybe the reason divorce rates have gone up so high in India.

Guys and their families tend to have old age expectations, which every single girl who works now find unrealistic , forget sanskari and modern.

this is kalyug .. there is no1 u can trust upon except your father and mother. even girls have exempted innocent boys in fake rape cases . but in UP and Bihar states .. crimes against woman are at its peak . and they are not respecting a woman who themselves have gave them birth 👎🏼

The biggest fault of these movies is that they show women as one dimensional black and white characters, when we're just as complex as the other half of the population. Men are always shown to be more complex and tortured. That's highlighted in the fact that most of the self discovery movies are about men. I mean everyone went gaga over that Boyhood movie. I fell asleep 20 mins in.

Girls framing guys are pathetic too, they single handedly do damage to the women who really experience injustice.😡There was an epi in sabdhan India where a husband was being beaten by his wife and noone took him seriously and made fu nki biwi k hato pit rha h n all.At last he got justicce with help of an NGO.
Yeah situations need to change but how can it when we're passing baba adamwale mentalities to next genChalo I'll have to leave now,had a good discussion😊

see that's the mentality naa . in indian culture this is the major drawback . Mens are treated much higher and respectable to Woman . where as they should be treated equally. that;s why those guys were making fun of that husband coz he is losing respect to the girl who has very less respect in comparison to that husband . In reality also Indian mens are allowed to marry more than one girl but what about woman ? if she marries a guy after divorce or after getting widowed toh uski respect society mei nil ho jaati hai 😕

thank you. i also had a very nice discussion after so long .
