How do you rate AB senior as an actor ?

I always had a divided opinion on him. Thought people praise him because of his aura as a superstar he is a good actor but far from likes Nasiruddin Shah or Om Puri.

n as u mentioned one can connect with the character
he portrays.
he lacks only in dancing so cutting off one point.

I have not watched many of his younger days movies so cannot say about ut. But since Piku I have seen his amazing performances be it Piku, Wazir, T3en. As u said we can connect with the character.

He is the best ever IMO if we balance the critical and commercial success after Dilip Kumar.
These two are Pele and Maradona of BW IMO, uske baad jo aye aye.

There are somerole that only Amitabh Bachhan can do..screen presence plus acting capability dono ek saath hona is a rare combo..AB has that

Indian public has already given very very Good rates to AB Sr as an Actor long long back...so we give or not dosnt matter...

Big B is an awesome actor. He takes a character and makes it his own. He has some great performances in his kitty. He's done some trashy movies like Lal Badshah etc but overall his work consists of many blockbusters and some of the best work we've seen from anyone his generation or the next. Who can forget Vijay Dinanath Chauhan from Agneepath? Hrithik's Vijay was a wuss. Big B's was a lion. He's the only actor to have survived THIS long and STILL remains a superstar. No one has and no one else will ever reign that long.
