Wonderful post for analysis. Agree with you. Sona was the pride of Bijoy. She broke his trust. Ritwik stood by her and she took him for granted, broke his trust and humiliated his family. They have to face and deal with the consequence and live with it. If Bijoy who has BP problems suffered because of Sonas this act would every one support her dedication n selfishness in love. No. The makers wanted to show how emotionally attached these two are and chose this route for everyone's realization. They made it really messy.

Yes trustworthiness is everything. Agree. Sona didn't keep her word this time. But I won't be too harsh on her for this one time she messed up, which is totally out of character for her and I am sure she will be ashamed of herself too. What we need to see here is that she is going through too much and everyone around her - Ritwick & family, Bijoy, Asha, Sourabh, Elena - everyone understood what an emotional mess she is. She is breaking down all the time, but they still let her go into this marriage so soon! They mean well but they faltered too. They cannot blame their plight on Sona or Dev. Everyone is responsible for their own decisions, not just Sona and Dev.

Today's episode was all about Gamble and the destruction it leaves behind.

Dev and Ishwari's relationship is kind of like a Parasitic plant. Ishwari fulfils her need of self-importance from Dev's blind devotion and Dev fulfils his need of companionship from her constant praise and flattery. But they are not part of each other like a family because there is no honesty or familiarity that could make them walk up to each other with any problem they might have without any hesitation. Instead they cling to the idea of family (the solid tree) without knowing what family is really all about.

Ritwik is happy to provide the nutrients but is not willing to cut off his roots to do so. Also, he knows that Sona doesn't need the nutrients he can provide. She needs to create her own nutrients. But since he liked her, he agreed or should I say he gambled.

Today we saw how that gambled paid off.

Moral of the Story: Never ever gamble on being someone's second choice because that never pays off. A second choice is always left to wonder if they would have been chosen if first choice existed. (Check new spoiler and remember this Moral. To be discussed later.)

👏👏👏

I was disgusted with the show for past few days and did not post any comment. Because there was nothing worthy sharing. But you summed up everything so beautifully.

This non mutual symbiotic relationship is often there in so called middle class household and our society is so proud of it.

Irony is victim here does not even realize where the problem lies but blames himself.his luck etc etc.

Here I admire someone like Ritwik who is willing to support Sona as long as it is a mutually beneficial relationship and he refuses to be a victim in the relationship. It is a give and take for him or nothing. Now he will break this engagement, not because he wants dowry but it will not fetch happiness for either party. He may not be rich, good looking or our hero but he is a man with a wisdom.

Do not for a second think ,I belong to Ritwik camp. I like Dev for who he is.A man with flaws and Sona has her share and together they will complement each other.

But yes! Miss Tia O.your analysis is mind blowing.
