But that is not all, Hinduism tells. The Hinduism has also many principles which indicates how persons who can't feed themselves, can become prosperous and abundant. When we want to tell about God's truths, only those points which evoke love in a person indicate the truth. If those points scare a person, either he has not understood the points correctly or that persons are misguided. Many persons who follow Hinduism are misguided and this misguiding and inducing fear are done even by parents to their children. When people believe, the religion is not going to help them and this could happen because for a hungry person, food is God. The XYZ religion propagators don't tell the truth but at the same time they could provide promises just to propagate their religion taking advantage of the scared position of the Hindus who find disadvantaged. And thus
those persons get converted. Others were converted from Hinduism by force also by the ruling kings in India

But one point is very true. There are books which explain how Bible helps us in the day to day life and how one can lead a life of prosperity and abundance following the principles Jesus has taught us in a more clear way then the books by which we could know how Hinduism helps us to get a prosperous and abundant life. How many books tell us how principles in Upanishads help us in day to day life?

There is no concept of propaganda or initiation into hindu religion. there is always a way into Islam and Christainity. These religions run like proper organizations with agendas. missionaries from Catholic church used to target poor areas of india with particular intent to get them to convert. they also built a lot of convents which ran schools with very minimal fees again with the intent to spread christainity. now is this bad? No! I love going to the church. there is nothing bad about any religion but conversion of helpless people is not good karma. when hindus distribute food to beggars/poor people outside temple... we dont expect them to come to our homes and do cleaning jobs.or wash drive ways... we just hope that has given us a brownie point towards good karma!

It is OK, if there is no propaganda on Hindu religion or any initiation. Except for the problem that those persons who are disadvantaged will become 'prey' to the Christian Missionaries and other Missionaries who work with the agenda of converting them into other religions. But yet, it will be nice if there are books based on what are the principles in Hindu religion expressed in a simple and understanding way by which people understand the religion shows them the way of living and people become lighthearted when reading these books. There is truth when we say Indians have been the most spiritual. But how many people know the actual meaning of the word 'spiritual'? Definitely Hinduism tells in places 'God has unconditional love. God is our savior. He is like an umbrella for us in rain.' How many people accept these points? When people don't understand the benefits of living in God's ways based on Hinduism, they will be attracted to the fool's paradise Christian missionaries promise them.

Pride in heritage, cultures, ethnicities and religions are very good things. But when those pride become radicalism those are the things that became dangerous because it created disunity in the world.

Cant say i have clear line of thought when it comes to religion, so please go along with my rant... I believe in spirituality but not the ritual of the religion.

What are you so proud of about the religion? The fact that you are born into a family which follows said religion? It awfully sounds like a person born into a brown/black/yellow family is ashamed of skin color and spend most of life trying to whiten that skin. How different is that? There is millions of dollar worth cosmetic business in India and many other countries just based on that fact.

So at what point in life does a person thinks the religion that he/she is born into does not make sense and teachings from some where else makes more sense? I guess it varies from your environmental factors. One does not just wake up one day and say, hey look i am going to be Christian from today! or some one from Europe suddenly wakes up, has bacon for breakfast and in the afternoon decide they will become hindu vegetarian. Prolonged exposure to teachings, self reflection and other life changing events can lead a person to re-evaluate what their choice of faith is.

Who the f**k are we to judge a person on what he/she believes, Its their choice!

BTW some things in life cant be changed, like who you are born to or ethnicity. Some aspects can change over period of time. You are not born with religion, but you are merely inducted into it by your parents or your environment.
