The Kapoor khandaan gathered at the family's Chembur house yesterday afternoon. No ordinary family get-together it was. We hear, the occasion' was a Shanti Puja for the well-being of the clan.

The ritual was initially being held for Karisma's well-being post her divorce, but later, they decided that every family member could do with God's grace.

The prayer ceremony was attended by all family members except Krishna Raj Kapoor. The senior most member of the family is currently admitted in a South Bombay hospital owing to age-related ailments.

A source told SpotboyE.com, "The family wanted to do a puja for Karisma and her children's (Samaira and Kiaan) well-being once they returned from their Europe vacation. But later, they thought that a shanti puja for the entire family would be a good idea considering Krishnaji is unwell and Bebo is pregnant with her first baby. It was a great way to begin the festive season."

Adds the source, "The family also prayed for Ranbir's career. He is going through a rough patch and needs all the good luck in the future."

Kapoor Jr hasn't had a single hit since Besharam (2013). The films that followed -- Roy, Bombay Velvet and Tamasha (all 2015) -- had failed and it's becoming a cause of serious concern for those close to him. Ranbir's last box-office success was Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013).

The actor now has two upcoming films -- Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos. The latter project has ensured that Ranbir stays in the news, though for personal reasons. He is paired opposite ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif in the film and their bitter break-up has affected the shoot as well.

Looks like Kapoor Khaandaan is finally getting its act together 😆
I personally don't have blind faith in shanti Pooja, but it gives psychological peace to people. So here's no harm in doing it .
Of course anyone's confidence would be shaken after Besharam and BV . But it's all part and parcel of long innings of BW stars who are talented and RK's talent is unquestionable.
