Letter - A OS

It s one fine evening when we sisters were seated in Urmila's room, a messenger came and dropped 4 letters to all four of us. The cover of the letter itself can unveil the identity of the letter.Its from Mithila. The happiness that flashed in our faces were so high , just a mere letter from Mithila got us back to our good old days, far from this lavish buildings to greeny lands, from dutiful daughters-in law to carefree daughters, responsible wives to naughty sister. Suddenly the number of letters made us wail. It was routine letter from Queen of Mithila to her daughters, reminding us of our responsibilities, sharing the happenings in Mithila, explaining to our doubts that we lastly written in our letters. All four letters will be different. Everyone will have their own set of letters, we usually read out our letters in Urmi's room, it's a ritual we follow from the day the first set of letters came soon after our marriages.The beauty of those letters is ,it will always carry separate messages to separate person but until it is read together the meaning of the letters will not get fulfilled. We always start it of with Kriti's, just because she always have lots of questions in her letters to Mithila, so her return letter will always be a lengthy one, it gives us a chance to pull her legs. The next two letters will be compromising with little warning because those belongs to Mandavi and Urmila, it will always be soothing and supporting to us. Even sometimes the letter will ignite a fight between us, as the complaint the other did in their letter will now be revealed. It will always be a fun for both of us to read our letters but not the same for Kirti and Didi, they will be compromising agents for us. Sita didi's letter will be like a message which should be conveyed for all of us as a group. Her letter will always be read last, as none of us than her have that patience in us to get last chance to read the letter from our parents. The day the letters arrived will be like a day well enjoyed by us sisters, because it's the time we will get back to old naughty bunch of girls forgetting everything around us and reminisce the gala time we spent in Mithila. Our respective husbands will never miss a chance to tease us for the secret that we have in the letters which lights up our face and soul. The Queen of Mithila never failed to narrate a childhood incident of us in the letter, about the childhood antics we made or a silly fight, or a heart touching bond we shared, or even the punishments we got. They will surely bring tears of happiness in our eyes, but not anymore. Now even after getting the letter we couldn't feel the same enthusiasm to open it. Still sitting in the same room and same place we couldn't open it .Because only two letters could be opened now the other two letters will be left unread. Because the addressee of that letters cant read it now. So all the four letters will be saved to read together. Because we cant read it without the other two, not just because it will not give proper meaning until and unless it is read together but because it will not give the same satisfaction and happiness until and otherwise we four read it together. One more set of letter with a few drops of tear is added to the treasury box today which already have a bunch of letters to be read once Sita Didi returns from Vanvas and my Rakshashi wakes up and chases me for her letters.
