I mean, how many times can you cover people doing the same dances again and again? It loses the appeal after a while. However, I am sure the team is having fun and people are getting what they paid for. 😉 What do you guys think?

Depends if you are paying for it or someone else? I have a punjabi friend in Toronto who is going with her friends and family and her dad paid VIP tickets to all of them so for people like that it would be great.
My employer gives a lot of free tickets for all sporting events and concerts but I wont be watching this one. There is no repeat value but the Indian diaspora is very huge in the west and they would do anything to connect to a part of India so while they may be doing the same thing over and over again atleast it would be in different cities.

Dear, it's a TOUR just like Adele sang the same songs over and over again in multiple cities for her World Tour. Similarly, Dream Tour had 6 citites, 6 shows to perform with similar/same performances. And they only have two weeks to do 6 citites, 6 shows, 6 rehearsals (to familiarize with the stage they are going to perform in). On top of that, they have to fly out right after the show straight to the next city.

First stop, the team went to Houston, performed there until 1 am, shortly after the meet and greet, the team went straight to the private airport and left for San Jose. They got into a hotel or something, then they have to go back to the venue and rehearse for their performances. When its time, they go get ready. Perform for 3.5 hours and wrap up. Then you just get to the next city. They are now doing a 4 day break which I hope they are resting and getting their night sleep.

Who are you asking this question to? 😊
There are only two ways to answer this question. 1) Did they sell enough tickets? It seems like they did. And 2) the people who attended did they enjoy the show? Us desis in the U.S don't have such high standards. We will gobble up anything they throw at us.
IIFA happened in my city. I didn't go. I saw it on tv and thought it was terrible. Yet till date I can't find a single person who went to the show but did not think it was AH-MAHZING 😛

As for performing the same thing, they are only doing it 6 times right? For six different groups of audience who are spread all over this huge country. Why would it lose its appeal?

I saw the show this weekend live in the Bay Area(even after seeing the spoilers) on Friday from Houston and was pleasantly surprised. I was about to walk out of the show before it started since it was delayed by about 3 hours, but stayed because of the ticket( My entire group was super pissed), but they were so good that I would definitely pay to see them live again.
I would write a really long post why, but idk if anyone is interested, but I don't agree with people who say it is a waste of money and seeing it on tv is them same because it definitely isn't. I have seen the SLAM show with SRK and thought this one was wayyy better(that one sucked :(.

Haha, okay I definitely will once I get a chance. Tbh, a major reason of enjoying it was that I was visiting my parents after awhile so I was in a better mood. If I chose to see them where I live though(they are coming here too), I think I still would have enjoyed it.

Yeah, the NorCal one was supposed to start 7:00 p.m. according to the ticket and our ticket vendor(some said 7:30 p.m. which is super confusing...)but started exactly at 9:56 p.m.
Karan Johar announced that they were running behind due to technical difficulties around 9 pm and promised it would start in 20 min which didn't happen.I call bs on their excuse and would recommend you plan accordingly and pack everything beforehand...

Interestingly the tickets we had say Jacky's name instead of Katrina's so her replacement sorta seems last min? I mean if you can get the real deal why settle for the "copy".

As a Performer (who has performed with celebrities in the past) I can tell that they deliberately delay it.
Every single time I have had experience that they have arrived late from the hotel to the venue.
Then they take an hour to get ready after which they demand food and they don't come out of their room or answer.
It is so damn frustrating to top it all they don't pay the dancers. 😡
