The story goes like this.. in certain parts of South Africa, when someone does something wrong, he / she is taken to the center of the village and surrounding by the tribes for a few days and they speak of all the good that they have done in life. it is their belief that a person is fundamentally good but makes mistakes and this making of mistakes is actually a cry for help. therefore, the tribes unite in a ritual to encourage such people to reconnect with their true nature. The belief is that unity and affirmation have maximum power to change behaviour than shame and punishment. This is the Ubuntu therapy - also called humanity towards others.
