Are some actors actually popular?

I see on the Internet that some actors/actresses are immensely popular on the Internet but in real life their movies don't end up doing well or their TV serials don't gain high TRPs. So why is that these actors are so popular here but in real they aren't really popular? I'm just so curious 😆 For example, in the past Karan S Grover used to be so popular on the net due to DMG but in real his movies tanked. There are many other actors who also have the same problem.

Nope no one in my real life atleast knows anything about tv actors..

this is why I came on this forum 😆 to meet people who know about them.

But the ones who have been consistently popular and hit will be known though..like Karan Singh Grover, really. [DMG, Qubool Hai two very hit shows.] Or Barun Sobti cos he was the most popular part of the superhit show IPKKND. I once saw a girl in my school writing his name behind a notebook and making hearts all around it 😆

It feels weird seeing these actors having such a big fan following on forums but no acknowledgement in rl 😕

KSG was very popular especially among girls during high school days and we did not use IF or internet back then. All of us classmates watched DMG and they ahd even once shared KSGs number on star one and we had gone a 100 times to the phone booth to call him and talk to him. The craze for KSG was real in those days.

Now I am as well no longer a fan mainly because of his personal life which is a big put off, not that I am anybody to judge but even then.

There r many ppl who r popular on TV but there movies somehow doesn't work like Barun or gc or Ashish or Arjun or rajeev . Rajeev has only one hit amir . Ksg both movies semi hit n hit consecutive ly but Barun n gc I fear at loss .though they r popular on internet.

KSG is actually very popular. His personal life may be very turn off but DMG and QH were being watched and appreciated. I know so many people who stopped watching QH after his exit. He shud come back on TV with a new serial.
