Today when Sandhya was asked how she compared herself to Prachi in dancing, I really did not like her comment saying " you are comparing apples to oranges". It is fine she thinks that she is the better dancer and her saying "I am the better dancer" also would have been fine also and I would have taken that as a mark of confidence, but to state that she is above comparision is sheer arrogance and it was in bad taste.
Why did she repeatedly have to pull Prachi down to make herself look good by commenting on Prachi's clothes and that Deepak pointed out Sandhya's dancing to Prachi etc etc? This shows a mark of an insecure person and not a confident woman.
Jay, Prachi, Negi and all the other contestants have worked really hard and gotten really good and for Sandhya to state that she is beyond comparision to them is sheer arrogance. "Comparing apples to oranges", come on lady get off your high horse. Someone like Shabana Azmi might get away with a comment like that, not Sandhya Mridul.
A lot of people in the forum have criticized posters who have commented on Sandhya's arrogance, saying that it is somehow against women's progress if we comment on not liking Sandhya's attitude. I am a woman, a feminist, with a masters degree and I work very hard, and I am not a proponent of the quiet bahu, but woman's liberation is not about rudeness and arrogance. Being arrogant and over confidence is not the best torch bearer of the progress women have made in society. I would take a Sudha Chandran over a Sandhya Mridul anyday. Also Prachi might play a bahu in her show, but she is a 19 year old woman who has made great progress in her profession and is working very hard to make further strides. To look down upon her as a crying bahu is a great disservice to ger accomplishments and hard work.
