Sandhya’s sheer arrogance is in bad taste

Today when Sandhya was asked how she compared herself to Prachi in dancing, I really did not like her comment saying " you are comparing apples to oranges". It is fine she thinks that she is the better dancer and her saying "I am the better dancer" also would have been fine also and I would have taken that as a mark of confidence, but to state that she is above comparision is sheer arrogance and it was in bad taste.

Why did she repeatedly have to pull Prachi down to make herself look good by commenting on Prachi's clothes and that Deepak pointed out Sandhya's dancing to Prachi etc etc? This shows a mark of an insecure person and not a confident woman.

Jay, Prachi, Negi and all the other contestants have worked really hard and gotten really good and for Sandhya to state that she is beyond comparision to them is sheer arrogance. "Comparing apples to oranges", come on lady get off your high horse. Someone like Shabana Azmi might get away with a comment like that, not Sandhya Mridul.

A lot of people in the forum have criticized posters who have commented on Sandhya's arrogance, saying that it is somehow against women's progress if we comment on not liking Sandhya's attitude. I am a woman, a feminist, with a masters degree and I work very hard, and I am not a proponent of the quiet bahu, but woman's liberation is not about rudeness and arrogance. Being arrogant and over confidence is not the best torch bearer of the progress women have made in society. I would take a Sudha Chandran over a Sandhya Mridul anyday. Also Prachi might play a bahu in her show, but she is a 19 year old woman who has made great progress in her profession and is working very hard to make further strides. To look down upon her as a crying bahu is a great disservice to ger accomplishments and hard work.

I totally agree with you. Many people have said that if we don't like Sandhya's attitude it is due to the fact that we like the persona of the "subdued bahu," when that in fact is not true 😡 How stupid is that??? I don't even watch Kasamh Se any longer since they have turned Bani's character to trash and I hate how in soaps the "bahu" never stands up for what she believes in. I loathe it - but it does not mean that in replacement i want to watch Sandhya's arrogant answers about being the judge's favourite, or that she is to good to be compared to Prachi or any other contestant.

I am 20yrs old, i am studying towards my degree - If I truly believed in teh "subdued bahu," than I would have found a husband by now, so that I could be obedient to his rules and my sasu maa's wishes 🤢

Just because we comment on arrogance and over-confidence in a woman does not mean that we don't like progressive women or that we have antiquated beliefs. I whole heartedly agree that for a woman to be liberated arrogance and over-confidence is not the right path.

i disagree they show edits EVERYTHING they saw, adding dramatic music to make things sound bad, apples and oranges doesnt mean ur saying one is better then they other, its saming 2 things are different not better or worse.

You guys, all the negative stuff is not all true! Reality shows make some the contestants say all of this to create drama so their show keeps running. The more the drama, more people will watch it. I honestly believe that all was said from a paper. Also, stop with your biases, Jay and Prachi said mean things too so don't put all on Sandhya.

I completely agree with u..Even I m a Comp Engg working in a Software Company and I don't follow all these Saas-Bahu serials at all 😊 ,But still I prefer Prachi over Sandhya anyday not because of her Bahu image but because of her killing instinct at such a young age and the way she presents her performance in a charming manner and also because of her softspoken nature 😳

Even Sandhya has the killing Instinct and is a very good dancer 👏 but then its also important to b a good human being and down to earth to become a Successful in life 😳 😊

u couldnt have said it better ! i so agree with you.i just wrote in another thread that i felt sandhya had got the concept of confidence all wrong, in trying to behave super confident and independent, she is coming across as arrogant and over-confident...and i had a whole lot of people pouncing on me...accusing me of being a hypocrit and speaking against a strong confident woman who speaks her mind...someone even started a debate over whether i used the term "concept" correctly or not in my statement.

i didnt like the way she responded when she was asked if sonali's was a threat to her.

i tried my best to to explain over and over again ....that i am not prejudiced against "confident" women...i gave some examples like sushmita sen....then i was questioned how did i declare that sushmita's confidence was the right kind of confidence and sandhya's wasnt....

We all are intelligent people and can differentiate between a character one plays VS reality. We don't fall for some Bani, Saloni or Jassi.

When I watch JDJ I don't even know any TV characters I only see the contestants. Sandhya is good dancer no doubt about it but she has an arrogance and a chip on her shoulder about it. Being confident is one positive thing but being over confident is a negative thing. It will rub viewers the wrong way. She needs to learn to be bit humble.

What did she mean by apple and orange comparison when she was asked Q abt her or Prachi as dancer??? She is full of herself and that is a turn off for me personally.
