Omg: Shah Rukh Khan issued notice by Income Tax department!

Income Tax Department sends a legal notice to actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Many of the B-town celebs are under the constant scanner of the Income Tax Department with respect to the payment of different liable taxes to the government. In a stringent action by the Government of India, actor Shah Rukh Khan has been issued a legal notice by the IT department.

The government has now begun to conduct inquiries of all such defaulters under the Income Declaration Scheme. Shah rukh is said to be one of the richest actors who has huge property and wealth worldwide. As such, it was natural for the IT dept to conduct their inquiries on the actor.

Section 131 of the IT act empowers the tax authorities to conduct investigation on defaulters respectively.

This isn't the first time the actor had landed in a mess with the IT department. Earlier in the year 2014, SRK was given relief from the Income Tax Tribunal in wealth tax matter.

However, we are yet to get any official statement from the actor regarding this case.
