BOI recently has updated Border film to All Time Blockbuster status from Blockbuster, there is 1 film which has performed better than Border should have been ATBB, it is Kaho Naa Pyaar hai.

Business of both films -

KNPH - 2000

Nett - 44,27,50,000

Gross - 74,23,00,000

Overseas - $ 1,330,000

Worldwide - 80,01,55,000

Footfalls - 3,06,63,000

Distributor Share - 27,22,00,000

Budget - 10 Cr

Screens - 170

Border - 1997

Nett - 39,45,50,000

Gross - 63,68,00,000

Overseas - $ 525,000

Worldwide - 65,57,00,000

Footfalls - 3,70,83,000

Distributor Share - 25,70,00,000

Budget - 10 Cr

Screens - 290

Kaho na has every value higher, just 1 value lower than border, it is footfalls, but difference is not big. KNPH should have been ATBB by all means, didn't know why it is given Blockbuster verdict.

This is 2nd best debut after Salman's debut in 1989, his film MPK came close to breaking ATG Sholay's lifetime total of 15 cr. It made 14 cr.

This is not that huge to challenge at that time's highest ATG HAHK figures, which a year later Gadar broke, still it should be ATBB Kind of film & Business.

KNPH was a rage when released --- still remember having to wait for days due to my exams --- but boy was the wait worth it or what ---- *😛*

Agree, along with this one, even D2 should have been ATBB... it is ATG.

BOI Verdicts are messed up, everything else is accurate... just never got through their VERDICT Criteria.
