Should Priyanka Chopra be an inspiration to anyone?

Hippo woke up this morning - did his routine stuff - bought 3 bananas since the cashier told him that one banana is 50 cents and 3 bananas are 1 dollar so cashier himself rang 3 bananas when Hippo did not ask for. Anyway its okay...will eat 2 later.

Then I visited this forum and saw an emotional comment in this topic

The point one poster made was how PC is an inspiration for average looking person. I respect the opinion of that person and after my tears dried up what came to my mind was hold on...wait a minute.

Should PC be an inspiration to anyone?

Did she herself respect her looks? Did she not go under multiple plastic surgeries to improve herself. So if she is not satisfied with her average looks who are we to feel sorry for her. Why did she not respect her looks and kept it?

My problem with Priyanka Chopra is not her looks...there is a deeper issue. This lady comes out as fake to me. From her Miss world promises to change the world to surgeries to improve her average look to now Hollywood stunt nothing to me looks genuine. Everything seems to be planned. It seems like a deal, a business...Anyway that is my view.

Question I am asking

Should PC be an inspiration for average looking people with her history and profile?

Her work should be an inspiration

Her story should be an inspiration

Her journey should be...

These inspirations motivate us to do good work, gives us a sense of positivity and an encouragement that nothing is impossible in the world. And in environment filled with negativity, such streak of positive light is consoling at end of day.

Every person has flaws. Mahatma had, Teresa had, renowned Nobel winner, Bharat Ratna, scientists all around the world have had black spots in their otherwise white glass. Not comparing Priyanka to those fellows, but their work is what people know of and take example of not their personal life and that' s how it should be.

As an actor, she should be inspiration for many. The way she improved as an actor is something applaudable.

Everything about her is fake...her looks, her supposed "acting", even in her interviews, she comes off as fake...

Yeah, so her career is business for her and she is working hard everyday to generate more profit in it. There's a destination in her mind, she wants to reach. She is focused. It's a deal she wants to crack and she is planning her exact move.

I don't get your point. Now planning your career move is wrong? Wese BW mein kuchh bhi genuine nahi. For the most part, we have to go with the image these actors/actresses create. It goes for all.

Interestingly you picked and chose this statement of mine and kept quiet on the main point i.e. should this multiple surgery veteran be an inspiration for average looking people when she did not respect her own looks.

Now lets address your comment on my view of PC

She can reach the moon literally and no one will be more happier than me...

if you were to read Hippo's comment carefully then nowhere I mentioned career planning. I mentioned everything and by that I meant her life in general. This is my take of her and this is my assessment of her...I do not like fake people and in my view she is a fake.

Now I would appreciate if you respect my view. lol

In that sense who should be idolized?
All of the actresses hide their natural skin under layers of makeup, bleaching, skin lightening, this or that. In her field, looking good is important. If she was a doctor or astronaut or a scientist I am pretty sure she would not have given a damn about her looks.

I think it's high time people stopped looking down upon plastic surgeries. As long as it's safe one has every right to opt for surgical enhancement.

Pretty much all of us including men are insecure of our looks. We use branded skin products, visit salons, try to be size zero etc etc. There is nothing wrong in trying to look good. It gives you confidence and make you feel good about yourself.

Hippo, I kept quite on inspiration bit coz, as per me, BW celebs should never be benchmark for anything. No inspiration, no role model.

But yeah if that Member feels PC is inspiration to her, that that's her prerogative. How are you concluding that member is inspired by PC's personal of professional life? May be PC's drive for success makes her want to have the same too.

I picked up this particular line from your post, coz that was the most weirdest part. You are now blaming her for planning her move? Everyone does that. You and me. And besides, No BW celeb is genuine. We never know for sure. We have to go by their image is what I believe.
