#1YearOfEpicBajrangiBhaijaan

Salute to the audience. Will celebrate on screen relationships built by salman khan but will ignore the real families destroyed by him.
Pathetic
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a year old today and its adjusted nett gross stood at 328 crore nett apprx at the beginning of this year. The film is gaining on PK which still stands at 338 crore nett despite releasing seven months before PK. This is mainly because PK had higher ticket rates for a ten day period while Bajrangi Bhaijaan was only for four days. This lead to the ATP (Average Ticket Price) of PK being slightly above the national average while Bajrangi Bhaijaan was slightly lower than the national average..
Eventually the footfalls of Bajrangi Bhaijaan did edge past PK so therefore the adjusted nett gross will also go ahead as ticket prices go up. It could happen at the end of this year or maybe next but that is dependent on the how much ticket rates go up. The film has no competition from other films released on July 17th since 1994 with the 1998 Bobby Deol starrer Kareeb having the second best adjusted numbers but at only 49.50. There may be some big grossers released on 17th July prior to 1994 but the films are not in our database yet. There could even be a film to challenge Bajrangi Bhaijaan in that era. Below is a list of films releases on 17th July since 1994 with verdicts and adjusted nett business.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2016) - 328.03 crore (ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER)
Kareeb (1998) - 49.57 crore (FLOP)
Do Numbri (1998) - 16.27 crore (FLOP)
Iski Topi Uske Sar (1998) - 5.42 crore (DISASTER)
Jashnn (2009) - 4.61 crore (DISASTER)
Maut (1998) - 4.33 crore (AVERAGE) - B grade low budget horror film
Hyderabad Blues (1998) - 3.31 crore (AVERAGE) - This film actually started talk of changing audiences and different cinema from a minority of the industry and in the media by the reviewer / critic types but the thing was that the film only sold 3.5 lk tickets. The NFDC led art film movement died in the late 80's and then ten years later this mediocre success (due to very low costs) became a pioneer of that alternate cinema. In fact after 29 years the talk is still there from the same sector of changing audiences and a different Hindi film but what people are watching is still the same type of masala blockbuster be it Sultan or Bajrangi Bhaijaan, difference being presented in today's style.

Stating opinion is one thing, this is blind hatred you having, it will harm you only internally, salman won't be affected.
