Another member in the forum made a post on forced abortion and I was gonna reply to that, but thought of making a post myself. Do read and share your thoughts.
So dadi was shown forcing Sharmista to abort her baby, and in a way she has been successful because at the end of the day, Ragini will adopt her sibling. I never thought of this track much, however, to think that these serials are being watched by a large audience yet the message given by the cvs is beyond ridiculous. Instead of showing how the society comes to terms with a woman in her late 40s giving birth, and you know just focussing on how certain things in life shouldn't be restricted due to age, the message being sent out by the cvs to women is that they have to succumb to the pressure of the society whatsoever, even if that means killing their own children.

Many members in the forum, including me, were against the pregnancy track from the beginning itself, because it's a very sensitive topic. And as most of us saw it coming, the cvs made a mockery of such a sensitive issue which many women experimence in real life.

They are planning to hide the pregnancy for the months remaining and Ragini will fake her pregnancy for the said months. The cvs are forgetting that a woman's body experiences many things during her pregnancy, and a baby bump is just one of them. In reality, how will a person hide those symptoms and the other fake them? For example, swollen feet, a healthier face, etc. Also, what if Ragini actually gets pregnant while she is faking her pregnancy? In telly world, pregnancies are never planned.

I just think that the cvs started off the track to emphasise a prevailing issue in the society but didn't know where to go with it, hence Ragini and Laksh were introduced to carry the track forward. Also, they needed a story for them anyways because a real pregnancy would have been way to early.

My brother was born when I was 15 and my mom was well at the age of 40 😆 Everyone was excited however. A child is always a blessing. Now it's hard to imagine life without him constantly bugging us, or stealing my make up to throw it in the garbage for revenge 🤣 Or you know just chasing me around shouting "Didi." around the house until he finds me to complain about mom.

very good post let me tell you my story when i was married and have a daughter(i married so early lwhen i was 18 years old u know i call myself balika vadhu 😆) my mother was in mid 40s then my small brother was born my brother is one year younger than my daughter initially my mom was very nervous and she felt so awkward that what will society and ppl say her major concern was how will my inlaws will react to this news but we all were so happy i am very blessed that i got such a supportive and open minded in laws and hubby they were equally happy not like these maheshwaries thanks God..
now he is like nanha sa toy which God sent for my parents
by showing maheswaris and dadi's reaction i cant understand what they are trying to show i know such ppl exists in real life but society is changing and ppl are not that narrow minded my in laws example is there..
SR cvs dont have caliber and approach to justify this track they will make mockery of this sensitive issue they cant think above kitchen politics and obsessive lovers
they needed story for Raglak they can show something else there are many tracks which hey can show for raglak why FP i dont understand at all

i agree, if cvs are going to do a pregnancy and abortion track there needs to be some logic to it
but knowing swaragini is a rashmi sharma show, there is never logic to any of her shows.

they need to give a strong message out to the society but it seems they are not doing it properly, i hope cvs put some sense in this track

I know families where the elder sibling was 18 and another baby was born. The other sister, who was 16 was a bit skeptical but everything's fine now.
Just saying that abortion isn't a solution to everything and the cvs shouldn't portray it as if the negative characters have been successful in getting what they want.

Superb post!! Its really good to know lot of people in this forum find the FP track meaningless. Shomi's pregnancy track could have been an eye opener for the audience, it would have been so much better if they had shown shomi's fight against the narrow mentality of society but Cvs ruined it with illogical and insensitive drama. Every day they teach how to do a planned miscarriage. This is really pathetic. In addition to that their portrayal of an infertile woman (pari) is completely disappointing. They should handle these issues with maturity. But for them only trp matters.
