Courage ,Peace and emotions

This was the outcome of grilling in thoughts and heart on the Show's most fateful night and the Aftermath . Please bear with me . 😊

Courage is something which is truly demanded in the crisis times . Coming out of the comfort zone ,the usual needs it the most . Reluctance and non-commital nature keep us making away from taking the first step . But those who display courage in their actions are the ones who shine !!

Also its something , which is NOT bound by the post ,power or the Uniform as its usually thought . Just sometime ago , in J & K , two young guys fought against the Militants . Was that their duty ? Yes , Constitution's Fundamental duty does ask one to defend the Country in such times ,But is it their legal or professional duty .No .But Moral ,defintely yes ! and that makes such people the Real Hero .May be they did it to save themselves but were they too naive to know that they cant fight these armed sinful people .No , they chose it . knowingly .

Not that those who lay their lives in the line of duty are to be ever ,ever forgotten and ignored . But yes , that by the very nature of such services /jobs , they seek such bravery and unreluctant people Like our Abhay . and Like the Mumbai 26/11 Martyrs .

Despite knowing the attitude as well as the insufficient man power , arms and ammunition ( In Naxal affected areas ,its been reported time and again ,specially ) ,the law enforcement agencies have at their disposal , these servicemen dont back out .

Then how come ,these youth don't hesitate a bit , like Asad who had an easy choice to go back to his 'World's Best sister 's wedding , dint choose this life's big event over his instinctive call for 'Duty' . The pain and shock , any sane person who loves harmony and love all around would , would feel , was crystal clear when he came out of that Car and their started the battle .

The battle between good and evil , monster and human , fanatic and rational , Coward and Courage . Terror and Peace .

Peace ,that was the last prayer on the lips of this kid . Peace that we all are striving for amongst the unfortunately increasingly hatemonger tribe of people . Peace that brings stability .Peace that 's needed expeditiously in lives and in hearts .But at what cost ! Here comes the role of Courage and sheer selflessness . or rather sensing the urgency of entering the field not shirking the responsibilities / duties of a citizen . Atleast not only for others ,for our own children and future generations !!

A nation or the World ,these days have become more connected ,more linked ,both for good and for bad . Globalisation had added to terror links ,spread of information as well .So why not that spirit of togetherness for Peace . Why wait for heavens to fall when the very last shreds of lives are being torn apart . Do we think ,it cant happen to us ? So foolish and blind to think that .

A hindi saying goes like if we keep on watching the home next to yours burning in flames and still overlook it ,the fire is unbiased to knock your door in no time ! .

And thus Peace demands courage ,determination , love , broader view with open mind with understanding .For those who cant take out time from their jobs ,are not in Army , shouldnt think it to be 'None of their business ' .

The engagements in filling these ideas of humanity and goodness dont need time ,money or energy always . They need our attitude ,our soul and our inner urge .

Coming to the show -

Aman and Asad(Lion)- The Lion' who prayed for peace while laying himself for the Nation . The names were chosen so aptly !

What a character and what an emotionally stirring performance ! That Asad's last wish for his Motherland and calling upon God to abort this mission else such valiant heroes sacrifice would be futile .

I replayed the Asad's parts and Swadheenta's speech about him .

And the actor just lived that . The sweet fun loving , yet naively over trusting others , a fighter that just came out of this carefree 18 year old guy .The support system of Freedom' , but when asked to go back to the wedding , dint back out ! . The sibling bond was just as beautiful and cute as in real .

I was moved with the way this unarmed innocent boy dint stayed back watching the horror after -blast scene . Though was definitely bittered with the Police team's inactivity at time which took two beautiful young good lives . He chased and fought and fought .

Asad's fight with Iftekaar was the scene , I was reminded of many such real life bravery acts . That gives us life goals - Not to lose the fight until you lose your breath ,come whatever may !! .

Thank you for giving inspiration , motivation and drive to be a better person . also the mistakes one could make in chosing friends .That , one should make friends carefully .One should listen to the well wishers and close ones like Radhika's instincts . .

Also that Life lambi nhi badi honi chahiye . 18 saal mein jo sab jee jaay . Just was thinking about Asad's parents and the sister's fight in a society where stigma of being tagged as terrorist just ruin lives forever . In real life especially . Just so closely realistic it's .

Yesterday , the Police custody tortures on the 'Muslim ' Indian History Professor reminded me of Shahid Azmi who fought for such Muslims. Are religions beyond peace ,humanity and dignity . Do we conveniently choose to ignore that Equality of law and non discrimination enshrined in our Holy National Text .

Lets say , if we dont know the persons background ,still Are we not faultering in our jumping to conclusions without an iota of professionalism (Leave the Mob ,its on another plane ! ) Is it not consistent failing of the human minds to be rational even in the most obvious horrific crimes / crisis situations ? This is our Judiciary ,the one who gave us many gifts of rights delievered at our doors . Among these minds , are many heroic cops too . But ,lastly the procedural cautiousness right from the investigation till conviction to punishment and reform , carries the responsibility of Peace , and Citizens Rights protection and their active sense of participation .Hope the sense prevails and Constitution hails !!

Thanks again for jhelofying this post . 😊

Beautifully written dear. Yes we are safe not because of heroes like Abhay but because of heroes like Asad also. I have heard when 26/11 happened the manager of the taj hotel did his duty while his family was dead. The announcer in CST who saved many lives by telling not to step on the platform when the terrorist Ajmal Kasab was firing like maniac. Presence of mind, duty is something not everyone has or everyone can do.
And don't think just Muslims are tortured. Yes they are tortured on terrorism. But many innocent victims languish in jail just because they were at the wrong place in wrong time.
In Kerala there was a case where a man killed a woman by slithing her throat in front of her mother in law. Mother in law was tied and beaten. This man died in police custody. There are human right activists for him, but not once they think about the woman who lay their bleeding for hrs before she died a painful death.
That's the reality. Human rights is there for criminals, but not for victims. Documentary is made on Nirbhaya rapists and still there are people who would prefer to see them liberated because rape is a mistake not a crime.
It takes a lot of courage and determination in our society for standing upto something right. That's the real test of Swa and Adarsh.

Hey,
Very nice!

In fact, in my opinion, we are more safe in our homes because of people like Asad than people like Abhay. Abhay was a trained police officer who knew what his work could result in. Asad was a normal kid who performed his bit to save the lives of so many people. Anyone in Abhay's shoes who have done what he did. But not many in Asad's shows would do what he did.

Salute to the both of them!

Courage is also the will and strength to stand up for what is right.

I am reminded of a line that Adarsh mentioned to Swadheenta during his baratanatyam days. He told her that those 12 days were not just a test for him, but for her too. And if she didn't realize what he had come to make her realize, everything would be futile.

In yesterday's episode when maami told Swadheenta that this was a test for her, I immediately thought. Not just her, Adarsh too. This is a test for the both of them to live up to their names, and their potential. And triumph they will!

Yes,such examples leaves you struck with pure respect and admiration for the 'Sense' of duty not only the accountability to job .

And Yes , that' y I put a question ,Are religion beyond Peace ,humanity and Dignity ? How one can forget Sarabjeet (or even recent Kirpal singh ) , okay we still not been gotten the truth with solid evidence(Its still not proved amidst political and diplomatic entanglements and the Jail Mob gave the verdict by killing him !) But how come the Family and friends can come to terms just like Swadheenta , wiping off everything they had ?

Also .Human rights are to be for all Human . No hypocrisy .No selective outcries . Understanding it takes much beyond the 'intellectualism ' its seemingly related with .However I would say , by any means such as Documentary gives us psychological ,sociological and ground level understanding of the criminals origins -where they are coming from .

When Today Suhasini wherein an accomplished lawyer took a backseat and a grieving mother discredited another Mothers Grief saying the lady has given birth to a terrorist .I was disappointed .

Because No criminal is a born one .He is nourished and nurtured here only . So the concern should be based on
1. How come we are failing as a society to let such tendencies growing ?
2. How come Justice is to be meant to be Nyaay in real terms -Retributive justice says the same -Punish the criminal and job is done . Reformative justice fights tooth and nail for reform even for such heinous criminals and here I definitely agree with you Shruthi ,that Then what abt the Justice to the victim .

Hence ,Punishment is a must . but yes the parallel approach looking at the broader longer perspective of Judicial system - The deterrence , repentance and ultimate change in the person .
Dont know if the rapists seemed on a reform path . Still their punishment ,as of now which is stayed , should make be made certain . or A Superstar killing a legally banned endangered species animal acquitted wont do . Whatever be the reason be. Pending cases . Lack of judges . lack of time .piling PIL's ,Delayed hearings .etc .

Conviction and punishment . Not roaming on lenient paroles and bails courtesy to Money & Power . Thats it .

1. Yes ,this is what I wanted to convey too. Also Police can't be always with us but if even a few of us muster that courage ,which is difficult , we would be a better society . Hvent we heard of 'Delhi Police ka advertisement - Aaiye,Police ki aankh aur kaan baniye .

2. Courage , has so many dimensions ,I think . Standing up for right and sticking to it to the bits definitely is one of the foremost testing instances where this is exemplified . Will and act.

3. Yes, Not because they are married so stereotypically or ideally it should be like that .Not even because in this show ,the names are perfectly chosen (Though I believe in meaningfulness of names and vibrations the sounds produce in Universe )

But , they are portrayed to be such individuals . I think sticking to principles also asks you to come out of personal worldview or personal connections (as in corruption cases involving relativesl or here Abhyas death ) . We all know a beloved sibling is a part of your soul .

Thus its the crucial test of what they had always been believing in .

Thats the reason I was so glad when I watched the promo and replayed it many times . However extremely disappointed when they dint show an Additional Director in one of the imp ministries in a government -Home ministry ,working . But yes also agreed with the philosophy and true connect with people . so I skipped the lovey dovey a bit unrealistic to me episodes.

And now though tough times they are in , I believe true love and companionship with their heads and identities held high would NOW be portrayed .and I think that would be another reflection of love .

Uff , this show has just aroused the over-thinking person in me . 😛
