The video in which Tanmay has mimicked Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar has been brought down and legal course is being decided.
Frankly, I am no fan of AIB or Tanmay or this video. Initially they were doing a good job but not now (Thats my opinion , of course). But is it justified to take legal action against them or to bring the video down?

I don't know what comments he made against Sachin but his comments against Lata mangeshkar were really pathetic.Old age is natural and every living being grows old. It's idiotic to insult Lata for being old.

I don't know much about the legal system but why are these political parties mum when rich people pay money to the lawyers and judges and get away after committing bigger crimes than Tanmay?

Sadly,in this country, anything against rich celebs is wrong but anything wrong the celebs do is fine!

They could be publicly denounced instead of legal action. The jokes were in bad taste no doubt.

It is not illegal to have poor taste. There are many ways to address poor taste, but legal action should not be one of them.

Criticising their performance and their career would have been okay, but making fun of physical appearance is not. Whether that warrants legal action depends on what exactly he has said. I haven't seen the video, only read that he made fun of Lata Mangeshkar's looks, so can't comment specifically for this video. However, since ragging and mental harassment are punishable offences, if someone causes mental anguish to a person by making inappropriate and personal jokes about that person, should that be allowed? On the other hand, we do make innocuous comments on someone's looks, sometimes not very flattering and not meant to be heard by that person. Will that be considered as an offence as well? Where do we draw the line and how?

Some action should be taken since if he is let scot free, it will only give him courage to demean more people and these legendary figures..
In that case the bigger question that arises is that what action should be taken? And no better option than the legal option comes into picture

I don't knw why the political parties didn't scream out for his arrest when he threw pathetic jokes on children.. 😕 Because they know that Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulakar has a mass following, now they are just taking advantage of their emotions .. It should have been done the moment he passed derogatory remarks on children in the name of freedom of speech..

People confuse the legal action as action against freedom of speech or against crass jokes... but in fact the action is against making those jokes against iconic figures who everybody knows most indians idolize.. the joke was intended to desecrate that feeling and respect.and create a shock value in the name of George Carlin!!! really!!!? ..if some folks start doing graffiti on the walls of the taj mahal... its like arguing.. one cant be arrested for graffiti.thats art work..yes if its their nukkad wala wall.. not the taj mahal!!!!
