Hey bw has some decent films as well.

BTW SAIRAT is amazing esp in cinematography. Bw can take lessons

At its heart, 'Sairat' is a consummate protest against any kind of opposition to two individuals in love. There is a very significant moment in the narrative where Archie and Parshya are riding by on a scootie (interestingly he is the pillion) and they see young couples being hounded on the pavement by cops.

Love the above scene so much!

Katyar Kaljat Ghusli is not essentially a marathi film. Its bilingual but Most of it is in HIndi. Its an absolute treat for classical music lovers with a good story. Went and watched it especially in a theater... was mesmerized by the music. MUST WATCH! Do give it a look.

Bollywood passionately films nahi banate they are more concerned about the earnings and reviews...movies agar dil se bane toh hi chalegi na sirf schedule pe chalta hai sab...hirani and co. jaisi hard work honi chahiye...dhanda bana diya hain film industry ka

I haven't seen Sairat but it sounds a bit like the first story in Love, Sex and Dhokha. It was also about caste but did not make a direct allusion to it. And another similar element was that LSD also had unfamiliar faces but you got completely involved in their stories. I remember being shaken up by that movie!

There was a phase in kannada industry when bad films were being made with bad actors because of which Kannada film industry was considered to make shitty movies. But now we have people like Rakshit Shetty who make very different kind of movies and are worth watching. Recent days there have been wonderful movies in Sandalwood as well.

But 90% lokanna jevdha pahila half avadla tevdhech tey lokl second half la serious hote n film samjli n enjoy keli! Credit to Marathi audience n ppl who watch Marathi films ! They are watching n understanding n applauding these films!

Of course there r 10%idiots who think sairat is misguiding youth to skip everything n just fool around 😆 I feel sorry for them
