I feel India forums members have better knowledge about the film industry and its decades.
I came upon this article in TOI written by this guy called Hiten J Trivedi.. which claims that Karishma Kapoor and Preity Zinta were competitors. in 90's .😆😆
Honestly just to make an article they can write anything. Just read it
It's a well-known fact that Karisma Kapoor and Preity Zinta were competitive contemporaries at the peak of their careers in the '90s and '2000s, but never came to act together in a film. However, the once arch rivals were brought together under one roof recently by none other than their common friend and one of the most celebrated fashion designers of the B-town, Manish Malhotra. Manish recently threw a party for his gang of friends and that saw Karisma and Preity in attendance apart from Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Neetu Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and Sophie Choudhary among others. Interestingly, both Karisma and Preity have worked with all three blockbuster Khans - Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh, albeit in different films during their heydays, but unfortunately never acted in a film together. Now only if Manish decides to turn a director in the near future and achieves the casting coup of bringing Preity and Karisma together in a film then that would be one feat to watch out for!
Preity , Rani, Kareena were in same bracket when they started working. Preity Rani debuted in 1998. while kareena in 2000. Karishma made her debut in 1991. She rose to stardom with Coolie no. 1 in 1993, and other movies with david dhawan like judwaa costaring salman. and then raja hindustani gave her best actress filmfare in 1996, followed by national award and filmfare for dil to pagal hai..and then again best actress filmfare for Fiza in 2000. Preity's career just started rising in 2001 with dil chahta hai and karishma was getting married having a string of flops sideby . The writer says them as arch rivals...Kuch bhi. My issue is its very easy to be a bollywood journalist without any basic knowledge or research..
