Eager to cash in on the success of Jab We Met, Boney Kapoor revives his Kareena Kapoor- Shahid Kapoor starrer Milenge Milenge

After lying in the cans for four years, the Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer Milenge Milenge will finally see the light of the day sometime in January or February next year. Buzz has it that after the success of Jab We Met producer Boney Kapoor has decided to revive the film.

Our source reveals, "Boney Kapoor is a sharp businessman. He is known to strike when the iron is hot. Shahid and Kareena have made a mark with their chemistry in Jab We Met. Boney has begun to feel that he can benefit from the couple's recent screen success. Hence, he has revived Milenge Milenge. What other reason can there be for him to suddenly start work on a project like that?"

When contacted Boney Kapoor admits that he hopes that hopes to capitalise on the success of Jab We Met. "I am hoping that the success of Jab We Met rubs on Milenge Milenge too," he laughs.

Boney says that his film was never shelved. Just that there was a financial crunch. After Jab We Met, the film has attracted distributors. "We have completed Milenge Milenge and are releasing it now. It has got nothing to do with Jab We Met. Also the content of Milenge Milenge is completely different from Jab We Met."

As for the fate of his film, Boney says, "Now that is something that I cannot comment on. It is the audiences and the press who will decide whether Milenge Milenge is a hit or not."

Meanwhile, Shahid will be shown smoking on screen in the film. "The shooting of Milenge Milenge had started nearly four years ago. The ban on smoking scenes was not imposed then. So it was nothing unusual to show the hero smoking. In fact, Shahid is seen heavily smoking in the first half of the film."
