After sometime feriha broke the silence,
"Let's go the poolside, we will feel better in the fresh air."
They went towards the pool. Cansu was working late and when she was leaving the hotel, she saw Emir and Feriha together. She thought of calling them but then she let them go and left.
Poolside:
They sat on the pool chairs facing each other. A gentle breeze was blowing, ruffling their hair lightly. Feriha took a deep breath to calm herself but Emir was seething with anger.
"Why did you stop me feriha?"
"levent" she mumbled" by taking out your anger on him things would settle"
"You turned your back on me because of him, because of his support"
"Do you really think so? You think he gave me the courage to leave you. I am surprised you think that way" she looked at him and answered.
He got up and spoke fiercely, "wasn't I surprised to not to find you home. You left without an answer, that's different; you had already heard some other answer and chose to believe. But Feriha didn't you have the right to demand from me what was my answer than overhear something before walking away like that with that man" he looked at her accusingly.
She got up too and answered him with piercing eyes "when I asked you to choose between me and work, I had put my trust on our relationship to test.I had so much confidence the answer would be me' and you would answer me instantly but you left! You left! That was my first shock.
My patience was thinning out, that's why I followed you to your club, and then I heard you. Toasting and planning your future for the club with Ece. My worst fears were coming true. You broke my trust on you. I froze there for some time when I was leaving I was shaking. I went back, packed my bags, I had no right to stay in that house, it wasn't mine. I opened the door to leave and mr. levent was also leaving his home and going away. So we just happened to leave together. She turned her face away.
"When you heard all that, why you didn't come and demand what are you doing Emir. Why you didn't fight me then? Why you had to take such a drastic step that you put your relationship to test? Why feriha ?why?"
She turned to him and answered "why feriha? Because of what were you doing? You were risking your life for your ex-girlfriend who was madly in love with you"
"I was just protecting a girl from a mafia don who was harassing her, she just happned to be my ex-girlfriend"
"you knew very well, who was she and what were you getting into. Fighting with mafia, you being shot, you getting jailed who was the reasonof all this Emir? ECE!In all this did you think once, how was I going to handle all this? Every night I would be up waiting for you restlessly, scared for your safetytill the time you came back home. When waiting became unbearable, house suffocating I sat outsideon the steps or take a walk in the middle of night. Why do you think I did that?
Have you ever waited outside OT have done that" she said loudly with choked voice and pointing finger towards herself " I was waiting there alone ,there were people but I was alone. Do you have an iota of idea what did I go through then. I fought that, kept my courage. And when you got up, I wanted to hug you and put to rest all my fears, you rudely dismissed me that fear has got me to you. That's what you thought about me. And then I hear you strongly telling your ex-girlfriend we will work together no matter what.All your principles were important. Where was I? Did you think once! I still stood tall.
Emir, tell me one thing, not even once you knew why was I staying with you?"
"Feriha I knew in my heart, I wanted to hear it from you. I wanted you to talk, you never did and then after Ruya's baby was born, that night I wanted to talk to you. You know what I felt, on one hand I was scared what if the baby is mine and on the other hand was you, my life. My friends were there you were not there. When I came home to talk to you, you pretended to sleep, I overheard you talking to captain in the morning. What do you think that meant?
"I did not want to leave there alone but I was disgracefully made to leave a picture perfect family by huliya and your mother I was fighting my own battle. I didn't want to hurt you more. For the first time I could not find my place next to you. But I had decided no matter what I will not leave you and fight.
Then ECE, my husband threw a party and I was not invited. And lo! What I see, my husband is with his ex-girlfriend happily hosting a party. I felt betrayed. You did not even care to tell me that you were working her. And one after another horrifying events kept happenin. I tried to face all of them as boldly I could all alone. You were too busy with fighting your own battles. But I trusted you and that's why I did not object your working with her till the time yavuz came to me"
"Yavus?"
"Yes! The night you saw him home wasn't the first time he came, he had visited before"
"Why you didn't tell me?"
"I was contemplating to tell you but you were very disturbed you had discovered your dad's involvement in drug case. So I didn't tell you"
"What did he come for?"
"He came to warn me against Ece. That her intentions were to get back with you. I told him to stay away from us, if you cared for her, then you should win her rather than troubling us. But then he came again, on that night. He said that she was back only for you and that she would do anything to get youback.So don't trust your husband so much if you want to save your marriage. So I asked you to choose."
"I didn't know, so much happened. If only we spoke before. I didn't give you an answer then because I wanted to talk and put all your fears to rest. But then you left without demanding or giving me a chance"
"I left...I left..." and she broke down, crying relentlessly. Emir came next to her and hugged her tightly, crying with her.
"I was not fighting with yavuz because of ece, I was fighting with him because of dad. He was using all his means to break me. He started by taking back the court case and then those news in the paper about mehmet. I warned him against using our family then he tried to stop the liquor supply by the vendors of the club, then the drug case final nail in the coffin. His plan was to put me off the job. Yavuz became his accomplice; they both had their vested interest. I didn't call yavuz to the party because of ece but because of I wanted to show dad and yavuz their place. This was my battle. I knew you were troubled, but I also knew you would understand. But when you asked me to choose, therer was no other answer but you. I wanted to tell you everything with my answer I could I do that in few seconds. All this fight, revenge is nothing if you are at stake. Look at me" he touched her chin lifting up you are my life, from the time you stepped into my life. I know nothing but you. How could you think otherwise?
They looked at each other with tear filled eyes.
Cannot live without you.life has no meaning lived these years for living, I haven't felt a thing' and he hugged her.
"Feriha left his embrace and asked "your engagement with ece?"
"That was for yavuz to stop harassing ece,. It was just a show that was the only meaning"
She looked at him "then what changed?"
"you"
He took her tightly into his embrace and then they lay together on the pool chair and lost into each other, they fell asleep.
