Part 15:

Aysun asked her driver to turn the car towards unal's house, her driver complied. Driver pulled up the car near unal's home. Aysun stepped down from the car, still deliberating on the dilemma she had about accepting unal in her life again.

She knocked on the door, the maid answered "Mrs. Aysun, unal sir.." Aysun walked inside without hearing the maid and went upstairs to unal's room. She barged open the room door, expecting unal with some other girl there, but the room was empty. A faint happy smile played on her lips. Perhaps this time was not really like all other times, when she had witnessed unal with other girls.

She walked down the stairs and asked the maid" where is Unal?"

"Madam he is in the lawn"

"thank you" she went to the lawn.

Unal was reading newspaper, sipping on his coffee and enjoying the weather. Then he saw Aysun waiting at the door, he got up and said in a surprised tone "Aysun! Come"

Aysun walked upto him "sit Aysun" aysun complied. Unal sat across her. He was at loss what to talk to her.

"I came here to talk to you" unal listened to her intently

"I thought a lot about what you said the other day, with all my reservations I want to give you another chance. I don't yet know how much I trust you, but in the wake of past events I felt like you deserve another chance"

"Aysun trust me I won't fail you this time and you will say yes to me. I have confidence. Thank you Aysun for considering our relation again, you will never regret it"

Aysun and unal hugged each other.

Unal then asked her for coffee and they sat down. Unal asked the maid to get coffee for aysun, then unal said "by the way Aysun your son's Club has started again"

"Hmmm..i have to tell you something" unal looked at her enquiringly

"Emir is marrying feriha again"

"What? He can never get rid of that girl"

"Whenever I think the girl is gone, she comes back. Maybe she is the girl for Emir. When she left we know what he went through even after 3 years I couldn't see the Emir I knew. Now when I met him last time, it felt like my same old boy was back"

"So you seem to have accepted that girl in your life."

"I don't know yet, but can't deny the truth that for Emir she is important. Anyways she left him because of misunderstanding. She thought he chose his work over her and that's why she left"

"And what about captain didn't she runaway with him?"

"There was nothing between the two, she was acting"

"In the engagement party she walked in with the captain like they were couple. Anyways so she is back with Emir. Great! When are they marrying?"

"I don't know when that is?"

Ece was at the hotel entrance, she was handing over the keys of the motorbike for parking, when few men entered the hotel main gate on motorbike opened fire on ece and left the premises from the exit in split of a second. Ece clad in her jacket fell limp on the floor. The security personnel of the hotel gathered around her. Everyone was panicking, and then someone among them shouted for ambulance.

Emir had just entered the hotel. He found security gathered around something. He immediately headed towards them. He heard ambulance coming, he figured out some one is not well. He ran towards the crowd, finding his way through them, he saw Ece lying unconscious in the pool of blood. He checked for her breathing. She was breathing. He panicked seeing her like that. His throat became dry and he yelled "ambulance!"

The paramedics came, checked Ece, pushed aside everyone around her and put her on stretcher to the ambulance. Emir stood there watching everything stoically. Someone from the paramedic asked Emir who was he to the victim he said friend. They said he can accompany her to the hospital in ambulance. He went to the hospital in the ambulance with Ece.

Someone from the hotel called Feriha, that Ece had been shot at the hotel entrance. Feriha called Emir immediately. Emir told her he was in the ambulance with her, he asked her to come to the hospital.

Feriha told zehra that Ece had been shot and that she has to go to hospital. Riza was at an earshot and he heard her, he also said that she should leave immediately.

At the hospital:

Emir was waiting outside the OT, when feriha came. She found him visibly disturbed. He hugged her, trying to draw strength from her. When he broke the hug she asked him what happened? He explained her that when he came to the hotel he found crowd gathered round her, she had been already shot. He said this is yavuz for sure and he won't let him go scot free this time. He will have harsher punishment. Feriha listened to him and she felt some other ring to this story, but she remained quiet. Now was not the time

Part 16:

At the hospital:

Cansu, koraye and Hande also came at the hospital. There was news in the Tv about Ece being shot in front of the hotel.

In some time the doctor came out of the OT . Emir and Feriha went to him Emir asked "how is she?"

"She is fine. The bullet grazed past her and did not damage the internal organs. We will observe her for some time and by tomorrow she can go home"

"when can we meet her?"

"in some time, right now let her sleep"

"ok" Emir relaxed a bit.

Feriha could see the tension vanishing from his face and anger replacing it.

"Feriha, this is all yavuz. He did not leave any stone unturned when he was in jail. I shouldn't have trusted him when he said that I won't come in your and ece's way"

The police had arrived. Emir identified himself as Ece's friend and gave his statement. He accused yavuz for this incident.

Feriha was watching all this and trying to piece together all that she knew from her conversation with Ece and this incident.

Feriha asked Emir "are you fine?"

"yes. Don't worry. This will in no way affect you"

"No I am not worried about myself, I am worried about you"

"I have been living all this for 3 years. Yavuz has been troubling us even when he was inside the jail. I am sure this should be his last deed, this has to end somewhere" Emir said looking straight ahead summarizing his 3 years to her.

Feriha became silent. She was deliberating on these happenings and Emir. There were a lot of facts she did not know about.

Doctor came out and said "if anyone wants to meet the patient, they can do that"

Emir said "I want to see her doctor" he looked at feriha and asked the doctor "can she also accompany with me"

"She is?"

"She is friend too"

"ok"

Emir and Feriha went to meet to Ece in her room. Ece was lying on the bed. When ece heard footsteps she got up and looked at Emir. Emir went close to her bedside while feriha remained standing at the footside of the bed.

Ece took hold of Emir's hand the moment she saw him "Emir!"

"Are you alright Ece?"

"yes" she said her mouth dry and she asked Emir to give her water.

While Emir was pouring water in the glass, Ece looked at Feriha. Feriha kept standing silently. Emir gave the water to ece and he stood beside her. Ece sipped water and gave it back to him.

"This is yavuz Emir. He won't leave easily. He lied when he said that he won't come in our way. I know him if he desires something he can go to any limit"

"Have you given your statement to the police, did you accuse yavuz?"

"no emir, I have no evidence"

Emir got angry. "How can you do that? When he harassed you, you refrained from lodging police complaint. But this time he has attacked you and you still won't complaint"

"Emir why don't you understand I am alone and I can't fight him"

"But this time you will fight him. I have accused him in my statement to police, the police should arrest him"

Emir looked at feriha, feriha gave a reassuring glance to him.

Feriha said "yes Ece, you should fight the devil, if you won't stand up for yourself none will, gather courage and fight, we are there with you"

Emir and feriha came out and everyone went away.

Feriha asked Emir "emir, what do you plan?"

"Let's see what the police say. Do you have to say something?"

"I have to say something.." when feriha's phone rang, it was zehra.

Zehra had called feriha to ask about ece, she said she was fine don't worry.

At yavuz house:

Police went to yavuz's house for arresting him but he had already procured anticipatory bail. He was asked for his statement in which he denied he had anything to do with the shooting. The police left from his house.

Flashback yavuz:

Yavuz was in his house flipping through the channels on tv when one of his men called on him. Yavuz beckoned him to speak "Miss. Ece is looking for someone to shoot her. She is trying stage a show ,that one of your men shot her"

"And try to trap emir sarrafoglu again" he said with a wicked smile.

"I won't let her succeed this time though" He asked one of his men to assist Ece in her drama, this time yavuz will show her what drama is all about"

Aysun was with unal when they saw on tv ece's shooting incident. "Ece and yavuz, I am happy that ece is out of emir's life otherwise emir would have spent his entire life fighting this guy" then aysun called emir "emir where are you? I saw on tv just now ece has been shot"

"yes mom. She is fine, I was with her, luckily the bullet grazed past her and she is safe"

"oh and feriha, where is she?"

"she is with me"

"ok"

"see you"

Aysun said to unal, she is fine. Emir and feriha were with her. Unal just acknowledged it.

Emir kept the phone down and glanced at silent feriha. "Let's go somewhere we need to talk"

Part 17:

Feriha was lost throughout the journey and Emir was lost in his thoughts as well. They reached the aksoy apartment. When the car stopped Feriha realized they had reached home, she stirred to open the door. Emir stopped her by restraining her hand from opening the car door. She looked at him a bit flustered. "Feriha ! what is it?"

"Nothing"

"Come let's go up and then talk. We need to talk"

She nodded in agreement.

They went up in the lift. Emir went ahead to open the door, feriha followed him.

Feriha entered behind Emir. When Feriha entered, she got surrounded by the past. It was like yesterday when she spent days and night fearing for Emir's life. She remembered yavuz's visit to her home. The restlessness had set in again. She had immediate desire to leave the house, she turned to the door to open it, then she took a deep breath. This is not 3 years ago, this is today, things have changed, Emir is safe with her. She turned back.

Emir sensed Feriha was not behind him. He turned to find her still standing at the door. "Feriha, Come. Come here sit with me"

Feriha and Emir sat on the sofa next to each other, facing each other.

He took feriha's hand in his, looked into her eyes and said "feriha, there is nothing like past. Don't be scared. I can see what are you thinking. Your worries are etched all across your face. What has to be done will be mine and your decision. My extent of involvement in this will be how much we feel is right. I will not jeopardize you at all"

"Emir I am not worried about me, I worry about you. I don't know what have you lived in those 3 years, how has yavuz troubled you and ece, I perhaps don't want to know that too. But I don't want you to take things in your hands and fight that man alone. Take the help of police, let them do their job. Don't get into that dangerous situation alone"

"I won't and in no way I will let that man come near you. Trust me for this. as far as ece is concerned, we will see how much can we help her. After all these years I will not put you through any pain." He caressed her face, as if smoothening the worry lines.

Feriha leaned on him and he wrapped his hand around her. "You alright"

"Yes"

"Come let's make coffee" They went together in the kitchen.

While the coffee was brewing, Emir hugged her from behind, she could feel his breath on her neck. She closed her eyes and held his hand tightly. She tugged his hand a bit. He broke the embrace and kissed her hair. She turned and hugged him tightly and kissed him on his cheek. He smiled back at her. "the coffee is ready" she poured the coffee in the mugs, handed one to him and they went to living room.

Emir had arranged police protection for Ece at the hospital.

Ece was planning her next move. Emir's response was a bit cold than she had expected. She wanted him to be on her side, instead he had left her with police to take care of her. Anyways, her trouble was feriha. She did not expect her to be here. The first part of the game she had played, now it was time for part two. Emir can fight yavuz again as he has been doing all these years.

Part 18:

In the night after dinner, Feriha retired to her room. She was silent the whole evening which didn't go unnoticed with Zehra. When everybody went off to sleep, Zehra went to feriha's bedroom. Feriha was sitting on her bed lost in thoughts.

Zehra asked "What happened? You are quite"

Feriha looked up , Zehra could read fear and worry in her eyes. Little bit of tears lingering in her eyes. She pulled her into a hug "What happened?"

"Mom, Ece shooting, hospital, yavuz this remindsof the time 3 years ago. That fear I couldn't handle, I still can't. Ece is a girl with dual face. I know she is playing with Emir. Emir spoke to me and he has promised he won't let things affect me but I fear for him." Her eyes wide with fear. "What if they do something to him again? Its difficult to sit and wait"

Zehra caressed her hair "These roads are difficult but you need to have courage to face all this. Have faith and fight"

Feriha closed her eyes, clutched her hand on zehra's forearm and stayed quite for some time.

In the morning Emir called Feriha

"yes Emir"

"we have to go to hospital"

"yes"

"when will you be ready?"

"15 mins"

"ok meet me outside infront of car in 15 mins"

"see you"

They met outside, Emir was watching feriha intently she said "I am fine, you ok" he nodded "ok. Missed you in the night" and hugged her , she smiled to him "me too"

At the hospital :

They went to ece's room ,she was sitting upright on the bed and the nurse was dressing her wounds. Emir asked her "how are you?"

"good and you?"

"We are good too"

Feriha asked "you are doing fine?"

"yes" she gave a fleeting glance to feriha

Emir suggested "I'll check with doctor, if he wants to discharge you today, we can start the process"

Feriha stayed in the room. Emir went to meet the doctor. After finishing dressing the nurse left too. Ece and feriha were alone in the room.

Ece said "so Feriha, you think you've won, you are standing next to emir. I hope you remember what I told you the game is not finished yet"

"Ece, let's see"

"yes now you will see"

Emir came back; he said "They are preparing to discharge you. I will finish the formality in sometime and come"

"I will come with you" said feriha Emir held her hand and said "come"

"you alright"

"yes"

"Don't worry we will drop her home and leave"

Emir finished the formalities and they went to Ece's room

Emir beckoned feriha to help ece who was struggling with dressing. Feriha helped her and they left the hospital for ece's home in the car.

Emir said "ece, I've spoken to police you'll have their protection outside your apartment. I don't think so there is much to worry"

"emir, you know how yavuz is, do you think police protection will be enough. When he can try to kill me, he can do anything" Emir remained quite and contemplative.

Emir's phone rang "hello"

"mr. emir"

"yes"

"we are from police, we had some developments regarding Ms. Ece's shootings. Can you come to police station"

"ok"

Emir said "ece, it was police, they have some news. I'll drop you home and then goto police"

Emir dropped her home. He said to feriha "you be at hotel. I'll go to police I'll drop you there"

"ok" said feriha

Emir dropped her at hotel and went to police station.

At the police station Emir met the police-in charge and he said that they've seen the cctv footage and they identified the guy.

Emir asked "who is he?"

Police said "he belongs to yvuz's rival gang"

Then he asked Emir "does ms. Ece have anything to do with the mafia?"

Emir explained that Ece is yavuz's ex-girlfriend and he has been troubling her since last 3 years. He tried protecting her, then he attacked him as well for which he served 3 years in jail. He is out again. But I wonder what the rival gang has to do with Ece?"

"we will catch the man soon"

"ok"

Emir went straight to hotel and met feriha. Feriha was in her cabin trying to find something from the pile of papers. She finally stashed away all the papers in one corner of her desk frustrated with it and sat worried. She had eerie feeling like she had that night before he was shot. She was feeling suffocating. Then the door opened and she got knocked out of her reverie. Emir was a bit in contemplative mood too.

He sat opposite to her and said "feriha, the police have identified the man, he is from yavuz's rival gang. I am not able to make out what's happening? What yavuz's rival gang has got to do with Ece? Why will they shoot her?she is not close to yavuz, we have got nothing to do with mafia. Yavuz knew about shooting because he has already procured anticipatory bail. Nothing is fitting"

"did you tell ece who has shot her"

"not yet"

"what is it feriha?"

"emir, something is not right. I think there is more to it than what meets the eye. May be Ece knows something. I think you should talk to Ece. She may have some more information to give to police"

"she has already given her statement to police"

"Emir she is yauz ex- girlfriend. He loved her a lot "she took a deep breath and said "she loved you as well. You were engaged to her. What if she is trying to play some trick" she said hesitatingly.

Emir looked at her inquisitively and a bit surprised "why will she get attacked? Doesn't explain"

He dismissed her premise politely. 'this was not possible. Feriha was getting paranoid' feriha understood that Emir won't believe this. Ece was a smart player.

Emir's phone rang "yes"

"this is yavuz"

"why have you called? You assured me you won't trouble her, then what game is this?"

"if you want to know the game then meet me today at my office"

"ok"

Emir got up and said "feriha I need to see yavuz. Let me see what he has to say?"

"Emir" she said in panicky voice

"don't worry feriha"

"I want to come with you"

"no you won't go there" said Emir "that's not the place for you"

"how can I sit here and wait"

"he won't do anything" he hugged and kissed her reassuring her there was no danger lurking.

Yavuz called Ece "yes"

"How are you? I am sure the bullet shot didn't hurt you much"

"what do you think yavuz?"

"I'll tell you when you see me at my office"

"why"

"if you want Emir back" with a lopsided grin.

"what game is it?"

"sorry darling I don't play game. It's on you, I am sure this is your last chance Ece you won't leave that. After all I did to separate you from him. It did not work so I've moved on and finally decided that I should help the lovers"

Ece nodded and said "okay. see you"

Yavuz smiled sardonically "lets finish the game. Ece!"

Yavuz had instructed his men to usher Emir in the next room. The room was separated from his office room with a door and he had left that lightly ajar for Emir to hear and see the conversation.

Ece entered yavuz's office, the receptionist said "madam.." but Ece didn't stop and went marching straight towards yavuz's office. His men started to follow her. Yavuz instructed them to stay behind her and not to stop her with gesture of his hands.

"yavuz, I am here. Last time when I came back to you, you dismissed me . what is it you want to tell me? How can you help me get Emir back?"

Emir heard Ece's voice and was about to enter Yavuz's office when he heard yavuz saying "Ece you orchestrated your own shooting with a man from my rival gang. What did you think, I won't know"

Emir stood there shocked. He held on to the door knob tightly.

"how long are you going to play victim ece? How long will you fool sarrafoglu?"

"As long as I don't have him back in my life"

"you think you'll fool me forever. You played victim to my tortured to have sarrafoglu running for your safety, took advantage, broke hs marriage. But his wife is back with him, so again the same tactics, but you forgot one thing this time, I am not here with you. I no longer desire you and you want to continue with your older game. I heard everything when you were boasting to Ms. Yilmaz .Ece your game finishes"

"yavuz, I know how to play my game. What do you think Emir will leave you. He'll bring you to book again and like before feriha will be gone i know" she said proudly. Yavuz tactfully got up from his chair and started to walk towards the door. Ece said "you said you can help me, tell me how can you do?

"I can Ece" and he opened the door. Emir was standing there, he had blood in his eyes.

part 19:

Ece saw Emir standing at the door; his eyes were red with anger. She had never seen him angry like that. Ece got scared. She was trapped. Yavuz stood there next to Emir smiling at her. Ece gave an angry look back to yavuz. She did not know how to see in Emir's eyes. She had to think of something to cover up the situation soon.

Emir entered the room went straight ahead marching to Ece, "now you tell me what is this game?" he asked while looking at her sharply and angrily.

"Emir.." she paused a bit "that's yavuz game. He wants to trap me, pull revenge on me. I was trying to play along with him to try to figure out why he tried to kill me?"

"Trying to figure out what?" his eyes widened further"it was not yavuz but his rival gang who shot at you"

"What?"

"don't act innocent Ece" said yavuz and he called the guy who had shot her

Ece looked at the guy surprised. Emir looked at him as well. "I knew your game all along Ece. You planned all this and I won't know. I am yavuz sancatkar Ms. Ece."

Ece grew defensive and said "if you were fool that you didn't understand how deeply I loved you, I can't help. I used all my ways to be next to you. I took risks. I was successful, till feriha came back and spoiled my plan" Emir was aghast.

"you did all this" he mumbled in his breath looking around and then he looked at her eyes and said" you will pay for this" he held her by her arm and dragged her to his car, strapped the seatbelt. He took her to the police station.

At the police station he asked for the officer-in-charge of her case and told the officer what he knew now, and handed over ece to the police.

Police took her for interrogation. Emir gave his statement to the police.

Emir came out of the police station and sat in the car, he couldn't get himself to insert the key in the ignition. He hit the steering wheel with his hand hard, and then squeezed the key hard in his palm. He was finding it hard to control his anger. The sharp end of the key pierced into his palm, he looked at the wound and tried to stop the bleeding with the pressure of his other hand thumb.

He started his car and went to the sea, he needed to collect his thoughts before he faced feriha.

At the sea front he stood there, leaning against the car. His hair disheveled because of the strong wind. The wind hit his face hard, at times making it difficult to breathe. Still he stood there, oblivious. All the past events were unreeling in front of him. Flashes of feriha's scared and worried face danced in front of his eyes. Feriha always tried to subtly warn him against Ece.

Every evening when he went to work he left a worried feriha behind, which he chose to neglect. She was always uncomfortable with Ece's presence. Why he didn't belive her instinct? She has been battling those fears alone. He always thought she was unnecessarily growing paranoid. Why did he neglect all this? She was right, I was fighting him out of ego, foolish ego and what was I fighting for, and for whom was I fighting? There was no danger lurking around that girl, it was all concocted and I like a fool fell prey to their game. He bent his head in disbelief. It was getting late, he has to see feriha, she must be really worried. He then left for hotel.

Feriha was waiting impatiently in the room for emir. She was pacing the room back and forth. It was getting difficult to stay there so she thought of going to the lobby. Then there was a knock at the door, it was levent. He opened the door , feriha was standing just behind the door.

"are you leaving somewhere?"

"no!"

"can I talk to you, just few minutes please"

Feriha turned around and walked over and stood behind the desk. Levent said " can we sit and talk a bit"

Feriha sat on the chair behind the desk. Levent took the seat infront of her.

"feriha" he said "I gave you the compass so that you don't lose the way, but In trying to help you I lost my way. I loved you and did everything in my capacity to be with you. I grew selfish. To possess you I did a lot of things that I am guilty of. I am guilty of not stopping you cross your boundaries of love and confess me things which was between you and him, I am guilty of taking advantage of your naivety, I am guilty of taking advantage of your trust in me, and I am guilty of selfishly separating you from Emir. I don't want you to forgive me. This fact will not change that I love you and always will and I am not sorry for that. I have to tell you this before I go. I am going back to my sea life and you will always remain with me" he said looking at her "good bye feriha". She could see in his eyes love, regret and truth.

Feriha was speechless and levent left from there.

Feriha was reeling under the effects of levent's confession, when Emir called.

"feriha"

"Emir"

"Where are you?"

"In the hotel"

"Can you come out I want to talk to you"

"Everything alright, you don't sound good"

"I am alright; I have to tell you few things"

"ok, I am coming"

part 20:

Feriha saw Emir standing in the lobby. He was lost in his thoughts and she was perturbed by levent's confession. She was thinking while walking towards Emir. She was trying to piece together the past events, how come her life became levent's toy.

Levent came in her life because of the lies she told to Emir. Emir was her everything but to claim the love they had Emir had to know everything. Levent knew all this. He always showed her the way directly or indirectly. he believed in her, he stood by her in tough times, he helped her.

Emir was right she shouldn't have told him things that happened between him and her to levent. But she always got carried away by his talks to tell him her personal problems. Did he do that intentionally?

And what did memet say if he was so much your friend why he didn't stop you from committing mistakes? Why did he support your decision of running away? Why he didn't cajol you into asking Emir why was he doing and what was he doing? Was he doing all this intentionally to separate her from Emir. Hande also knew of his games. She was unknowingly falling into his trap set by him to be with him. She touched her forehead in dismay.

She had reached Emir by then. "Emir! I don't know what was happening till now?"

"what"

"levent, what was he doing ?"

"what was he doing?"

She looked up at him, she was in disbelief and denial. She said "I need to clear my thoughts" then she said "what happened at yavuz?"

"I will tell you, there is a lot to tell. A lot! Let's go to room upstairs"

"ok"

In the hotel room, they sat on the sofa next to each other. Both perturbed by the recent discoveries.

Emir said first "The shooting of ece was all drama, Ece had planned herself to get me back in her lif. And she had been lying all along. She was acting victim to yavuz's atrocities when the truth is there was nothing like that, she was just trying to get close to me. What yavuz told you was right"

"she told that recently to me, I tried telling you but..'

"I know I was a fool to believe her. I feel like a stupid.I destroyed things with my own hands. Troubled you, dad also got dragged into it, its different he wanted to achieve his own interest. I feel so damn stupid"

"you were not alone, I was foolish too. Levent was trying to get me in his life, I never realized. He says he took advantage of my naivety. I never knew. I followed the way he showed. I believed him and look today he comes and says I did that to get you , I became selfish. Emir how did this happen? I don't know. Were we so weak? Why did we let others get in our life?"

"my anger and your insecurities, took us to believe other people"

"we endured so much pain, anger, impossible days"

"they passed", then he looked at her "our love never changed feriha. Do you even for a minute feel like you loved me less or I love you any less Our love has grown stronger with time" he said taking her hand in his hand.

"They all came and passed. Like all the problems in our life. All tough phases of our life tried to separate us but it all passed, and look we are together again"

"passed" he leaned to kiss her and she found her way to him as well. They rested their heads together.

Then Emir said "I better talk to mom and dad, they have to meet your parents"

He took his phone out from his pocket and called Unal

"yes Emir"

"I wanted to meet you, when can I see you?"

"I am free today. Tell me when ?"

"in half an hour"

"At my home"

"ok"

"see you"

Unal said to aysun "your son is coming to see me"

"for?"

"he didn't say anything , but I believe it should be for his marriage"

"I suppose so"

Emir said to feriha "in half an hour I have to see dad at his home" feriha nodded." you want to go home or you have some work at hotel"

"I am here at hotel"

"ok. Then I will leave and come back here"

ok"

"feriha get over the past. Let's look forward to our future." Then he pulled her into a hug and kissed her hair " when I come back we will go somewhere , be ready"

She smiled.

Emir at Unal's home

He knocked the door , the maid opened it.

"good evening Mr. Emir"

"good evening. Where is dad?"

"Mr. Unal is waiting for you in the backyard"

Emir entered the house and went straight to the backyard. He saw Unal sitting wit aysun on the sofa. Aysun was sipping on the coffee and unal was reading something on ipad. He stood there looking at them he thought so they've reconciled their differences'

He walked upto them, aysun got up on seeing Emir "Emir"

"mom. How are you? you are here!"

"yes we are back"

"good. I am happy for you"

"thanks" said aysun and kissed him on his cheeks.

Unal got up too.

"hi dad"

"hi" unal beckoned Emir to sit on the empty chair.

"what will you drink?"

"nothing. I came here to tell you. I want to marry feriha"

"I know"

"for that you both will have to go to her house and ask for her hand from her parents"

Unal looked surprised "why all this?"

"we , I mean feriha wants to get married properly in front of parents, this time, so we want to follow traditions. Do you have any reservations to go their home?" he said with a tint of sarcasm in his voice

Unal stayed quite. Emir looked at him straight and said "you have been to their house before"

I don't have any reservations. But I want to know about Ece"

"what do you want to know about her?"

"What about her you were engaged with her and then suddenly you get back to feriha?"

"I was faking that engagement and marriage. Anyways the shooting episode of ece was staged drama. She was also faking being victim to yavuz. I have handed her over to police"

"What?" said unal and aysun was surprised as well.

"Emir I can't believe this. Ece was faking all this. How do you know?" asked aysun

"that's a long story mom but she confessed this to me" Aysun looked at Emir with a lot of compassion but Emir shied away from further display of emotion. Aysun decided to stay quite.

Unal then said "ok. We will go to their house. When you want us to go?"

"Tomorrow"

"okay'

part 21

Emir left unal's house for hotel.

Unal looked at aysun in dismay "now this! "

Aysun said "if that makes him happy let that be. I am surprised about Ece. I didn't like her though but she went really far"

"Your son's choices of women are really weird. Anyways, tomorrow we go to that doorkeeper's then"

Aysun tacitly agreed on it.

Emir reached hotel and called feriha "yes emir"

"I am waiting at the entrance of hotel in the car come soon"

"ok"

Feriha came to the car. Emir said "get in"

When she sat in the car she asked "where are we going?"

"we will discuss it on the way"

"tell me "

" well first of all my parents come to your home tomorrow"

Feriha nodded. "what time you decide and let me know, I will tell them"

"what did they say?"

"nothing. I told them to visit your house tomorrow and second we are going shopping for our house. I think we should redo it according to your taste, change whatever you want."

Feriha looked at him enquiringly, he said "I want you to redo the house and don't give me this look why, there is a need to change it and I want it your way"

"I like it the way it is, there are so many memories"

"feriha, please I want you to refurbish it"

"Ok"

"So we go to the store whatever you want to buy, buy"

They went to the store and bought new furniture. Happily they shopped for their house. Then Emir took her for dinner.

"Did you enjoy?"

"Yes"

"Tomorrow after my parents visit we will shop for clothes. By the way where you want to get married, have you thought about the venue? Do you want to it at the hotel?"

Feriha was pondering over the venue and then she said "not at the hotel but the place that has witnessed our love"

"park, where everything started"

"yes" and she smiled at him delightfully

"agreed"

After finishing their dinner, emir said "let me take you to a place"

"where"

"you will like it my love"

He drove to the hill, and stopped at the spot where they could see istanbul's city light.

Emir stopped his car and turning towards her he said "you like it?"

"Istanbul from hill top? How beautiful this city looks. This city has given me so much" she turned to him "I will always be grateful" emir touched her hands "me too. Come let's get out"

They stood there leaning against the car in the dark watching the city with dreamy eyes.

"I dreamt to live with you happily here"

"we will live that"

Emir inched closer to her and wrapped his hand around her shoulder "we won't delay marriage much in couple of days we marry. Alright?"

Feriha nodded in affirmation. "it will be soon"

"no matter what we stay together, we will talk everything, I will listen to you, that's my promise"

"I will talk to you and share everything with you"

"you will demand from me answers and not suppose anything. Tell me everything, don't think twice"

"we won't repeat any of our mistakes"

He squeezed her shoulder and rested his chin on her head and said "we will live again"

She said "till death do us apart"

He turned her and captured her into a deep kiss which they never wanted to end.

At riza house:

Feriha reached late. Zehra was waiting for her. "you got quite late" feriha said "yes, we went out and got a bit late"

Zehra stood there with folded hands looking at her , feriha said "mom I know its late" then she went upto her "tomorrow his parents will come. What time should we call them?"

Zehra said "they come to ask for your hand?"

"yes, like dad said to emir, what are you thinking?"

"nothing"

"I know you remember the past, I do that too. I have not shared a very good relation with them too, but they are his parents"

"yes daughter they are his parents, we have to let go of the past"

"I wonder how dad will handle all this"

"he will, I know riza"

"so what time should I tell them?"

"evening?"

"okay"

"I hope we treat them well"

Part 22:

Emir while entering the apartment called koray. "koray"

"yes Emir, everything fine"

"I wanted to see you tomorrow morning"

"ok"

"at the coffee shop at 10"

"at 10, coffee shop"

"see you"

"bye"

Mehmet entered the house quietly. Zehra came out to check him he said "mom you didn't sleep yet?"

"no, not yet"

"are you fine?"

"yes, I wanted to talk to you" Mehmet nodded "tomorrow evening Emir's parents will come home, I want you to be there" Mehmet listened to her with his head bent. "I know it's a bit tough for you" said zehra caressing Mehmet's back. She was looking at him as if searching for his supressed pain.

Mehmet said "I told you, you will not have any problems from my side, I will be there" still his head bent, he didn't want to face zehra with his painful eyes.

"Mehmet, I understand the pain that you are going through. But try and understand your sister, I am not justifying her, but she did not cheat Emir, she did not run away with teacher, their leaving together was not planned, she never shared a relationship with him, unlike.." she did not take seher's name.

"but she did leave him without reason"

"I am not justifying that act, but I am trying to tell you her situation was different. Accept her, she is your sister and she needs you too"

Mehmet listened to her quietly, nodding his head. "Give me time"

Zehra patted his back "sleep its quite late"

And she went to her room, closing the door behind.

Mehmet was in dilemma over seher, her acts off lately were leaving him baffled. He did not want her to be back in his life. She still had the audacity to knock at the door and claim the place that she once held. Love and trust in their relationship had long gone. What was left to carry on? She was not the women whom he wanted to see every night. She had broken that longing long back. Now all that remained was hatred and anger that he could not cope up with. Everytime he saw feriha, she reminded him of seher, but Emir had accepted her back in his life. With all these thoughts he went to sleep.

Next day morning:

Emir was getting out of the apartment, when Mehmet saw him. Emir stopped on seeing Mehmet. Mehmet came upto him "good morning"

"good morning"

" I will take a leave in the evening today"

Emir nodded "ok"

"are you sure of what are you doing? Taking her back in your life is it the right thing to do?"

"Mehmet what happened between us was a misunderstanding. We lived that for 3 long years. I don't think so its right to live that for life. She did not cheat me, she separated for me without knowing the whole truth."

"okay see you in the evening"

"see you" Emir then left.

The last few words of emir still ringing in his years she did not cheat me' and he was trying to equate feriha with seher. Seher had actually cheated him with his cousin brother. His phone gave a message beep , it was seher mehmet, think about all that we shared, I know you still love me, meet me just once, maybe we can sort it out' Mehmet wrote her back see me tomorrow at 11"

At the coffee shop:

Koray was waiting for emir. Emir found him sitting at the corner seat of the caf.

"good morning"

"coffee?"

"yes" and emir kept his car keys on the table

"whats up brother?"

"a lot! I handed over ece to police"

"how!" in astonishment

"that shooting was all planned by her"

"what?"

"yes! Yavuz was never behind her life she was playing all along"

"don't tell me" he put his hand behind his head in utter disbelief

"and what was all that for?"

"guess!"

"to get back at you?"

Emir blinked in affirmation.

In the evening:

Aysun had bought few gifts for feriha's family. She was preparing for their visit. Unal was watching all that.

Emir then called aysun "yes son"

"come to my home first and then we all go together"

"you have shifted back in that apartment"

"yes"

"ok see you"

"see you"

Unal said "he is back in that apartment" aysun nodded in affirmation. Unal said "come lets go, I don't know what to say"

"we have to be polite, our earlier visits have been quite difficult ones, but this one is different and we are going there for our son"

Unal nodded "let's go"

Unal and aysun first went to emir's apartment. When they entered they saw a lot of cartons lying around. Emir said "we are redoing the apartment"

Aysun looked around and said "you plan to stay here from now on"

"yes. Anyways let's go down they must be waiting"

They all went downstairs to riza's house. Emir stood in front and rang the door bell.

Zehra opened the door, she smiled and welcomed them in.

Riza came out too. They all greeted each other. Riza asked them to seat on the sofa. unal and aysun sat on one sofa and emir sat on the adjoining sofa. Aysun and unal were quietly checking their house. Zehra asked them for coffee and called feriha out. Feriha greeted them too.

Unal said "for our kids happiness we should leave our differences aside" riza nodded in agreement "we want to ask for your daughter's hand"

Riza said "you are right, we should keep our differences aside. We have no problem in marrying them again as long as they are happy"

Zehra signalled feriha to kiss aysun and unal's hand which feriha did. Emir kissed zehra and riza's hand.

Riza asked "when should we plan marriage then"

Emir said "day after tomorrow"

Riza smiled at his answer.

Emir and feriha looked at each other and smiled.

Smiriti liked the way you have taken the characters along with original characteristics , not once you have taken liberties with original . Not in to FF but like reading yours as was part of the AFK. Thank you .
