my thot on present state of dev's feeling....

after watching today's scene i feel the idea is to show sona falling in love first rather than dev...

in the dance scene wen dev was gving those lines i thot he was also falling for her...but then now that i think about it...dev is actually getting accustomed to her...she is taking care of her mother and also his entire family...he can now work in office free minded without hving to worry about her mom's health...he has also seen how she takes care of niki's studies, how she convinces neha to take up english class...he has seen her dedication like wen he told her to wait for him in the evening she actually waited for him past midnite...its like sona's presence in his life has made life much easier for him...its almost like he wants her to stay longer than the 3 month contract...and i must mention here that before the party a few things hapnd that made dev develop a positive feeling toward her as a woman while before that she was just his mom's nutritionist...like how she did not throw away his mom's memories even though his mom had told her to do so...and also in the party sona so easily refused the new job which cud gv her better salaries and perks...even dev told her that he wanted to dance with her because he knows that she has refused the job...so as of now dev's feeling is more of gratitude since sona is taking care of that person who is most special to him, i.e. his mom...although those lines cud be easily taken as romantic inuendos (i also made that mistake) but now i think he is still far from falling in love...as of now he feels that if today sona leaves then his mom will revert to her bad food habits, niki will start neglecting studies, and so on...

for this same reason, they did not show dev getting mesmerized when sona wore sari for the first time...he was more like angry and irritated because she is thinking of getting married and shifting to mumbai in the middle of her 3 month contract...

but at the same time dev is a contradicting character like sona once said...in spite of developing a kind of dependence on sona he is putting up her profile in jodi.com and even he did not bother about a delhi based guy...i guess this jodi thing he is doing only to prove to sona that he did not break her alliance with kushal...thatz y i feel once potential grooms will start coming he will be first one to create problems again with different kinds of excuses...

i guess this jodi.com track will be a turning point from dev's side...dev is so much mama's boy that till now he cant see anything else in sona except that his mom is in gud health because of her...the fact that he is getting attracted toward her beyond that reason will be realized by him once responses will start coming from jodi.com and maybe sona's family will finalize a guy for her and at that time he will realize that he cannot afford to lose her and his mother is not the only reason for that...

i hope they wont make the grave mistake of showing dev wanting to keep her only for his mom...the love has to be real...he shud not fall in love just because she is taking care of his mom...if love is not real from dev's side then this entire story will fall flat at least for me...

As you said, I think his feelings ( when they develop) will stem from the fact that she cares for his mother, but eventually will expand to knowing Sona and loving her for her. Although, this will take time.

no i did not say that dev is falling in love because of his mother...i just said that currently his feeling is gratitude for wat she is doing for his mom...but the other reason why he is falling in love is still not realized by him...

its just a matter of time...his feelings for her hv already started growing beyond the reason of her being his mom's nutritionist...now it remains for him to realize that...

i think he is in denial mode rite now...let me see...wen he broke her alliance with kushal and sona verbally attacked him for that he refused that he has got anything to do with it but then admitted that her taking care of his mom has been on his mind which is equal to confessing that he has broken the alliance...so y was he scared of admitting it in the first place wen the reason is so simple...because he knows that is not the only reason but currently even he cant explain it to himself wat that other reason is...

second...he has put her profile in jodi.com...fine i can accept that because he wants to mend things as he broke her alliance with kushal and sona blames him for hurting her family...

but then y take the entire responsibility of attending calls, taking interviews and even the selection process...he already told tina to do that but in the next scene we can see he himself is doing that...y so...

he himself is very much a family man...so he shud know that he may hv the right to put up her profile as a well wisher but he has no rite to do the selection process wen sonakshi has her family to do that...

now wen sona will ask him about y he is doing all these he will again make all nonsensical excuses which will not make any sense...of course there cant be any valid reason for wat he is doing...i can excuse the part of putting up the profile but not the part where he is doing the selection process...

wat excuse will dev gv...mom's reason wont fit here because he has not put up the criteria that the boy must be delhi based...wat other reason can he show for his interfering act...

of course this proves that dev is not yet aware of his feelings and if his mother is clearly the reason then he shud hv no problem in admitting that...because he always admits that he can go to any length for his mom...

so my point is that dev has started liking her (i wont call it love yet) beyond the reason of nutritionist...in a phase like this a little push is needed...maybe sona's family finalizing a guy from jodi.com...or anything else...
