Alrite guys!

Most of you will think this is april fools day so another post! Even though I enjoyed and fell for some of them. The reason for me to post this here is a bit serious!

If you have time do read through this!

I haven't been here on this forum for a long time to know all of you. But the few I have interacted, I have met some great individuals and here's a shout out to everyone out here.

I just read about the BV - actress! Pratyusha - Its really sad to see someone at this age to take a drastic step. But this got me thinking and made me think that this is something that needs to be addressed

All of us come from different background, different cultures but what is it that binds us here - the love for the show!

So here's my way of reaching out to you guys. All of us go through up's and down in our life. Some are lucky to have great friends and family who they can share their problems and feeling and some are not that lucky.

Most of you guys - from reading your post I realised are in unvi - highschool and someone of us like me are battling it out in our work field. My point is that sometimes you have a rough day -share it, you never know maybe talking to someone will help you. The first step is always difficult - which is to reach out. Even if we cannot provide you solutions its good to talk it out.

Never -ever think you are alone - because there are people out there to reach out for. The sooner you reach out the better it will be for you.

I sound like an emotional fool - but I have battled it out its not easy and its really tough but you will get out of it. Depression is not a taboo- all you guys out here - some of us our silent because we are scared to put ourselves out there. Don't be. I will again reiterate that the first step is to reach out.

I am not as good at articulating my thoughts like most of you guys out there. But if this helped even one person, then I achieved something I guess.

So guys feel free to msg - post your concerns - no problem is too big or to small. We have wards - etc a lot of things drop in.

On a lighter note: you know there is one thing that we all have in common and that's the craze for the show. so see we all share one thing in common!

Take care

Note:

Guys turn to page 2: and this what exactly I was talking about. gather strength. you are never alone

👍🏼

The news of Pratyusha actually made me very emotional, because a school friend of mine did the same thing few months back she was even more younger than Pratyusha ...I still wonder WHAT forced her to take such a step because she was a beautiful soul n full of positivity kind of a girl...

I have seen Pratyusha as Anandi...I don't know what to say...RIP

Wow.. that was a sweet step from you and you are right...

I have seen so many here in IF with so much of tensions in their personal lives... some from my past forums have discussed about their problems with me and we have had longer discussions about them... this definitely is a place for such discussions/sharing...

I don't know if there are any here... as she said you are not alone... whomever you feel comfortable please feel free to talk to them... we are all a family... we need not face each other, but we definitely can communicate with each other...

Luv you all... God bless you all...

Very well said, and I compeltely agree! What I love about this forum is that we are 99% of the time considerate about what we put out there because we know that there are peop of all age groups and backgrounds here and you never know how what you say may affect someone. They could just be having a bad day and something here or there could make it worse. I seriously love you for saying all of this because yes, we are here for one another. I know a lot of people here have opened up before about personal issues and things they battle and how TEI helps as an escape. I admire everyone who is able to share their feelings because yes talking about it to anyone that can help, is the first step. My inbox is always open for anyone who even wants to just rant about a bad day, we're here for each other <3

thank you for this post darling, this was much needed (:

its very sad - when people are driven to such an extent and thats why its very important for us as individual to reach out so that maybe we can save that one life!

you are not leaving this world but people who dearly loved you - your parents and family! sometimes its not easy to reach out to the family, thats why use any medium to reach out :)

It's so sad that depression is often over looked and discredited. It is in fact very real and affects more individuals that we all would like to believe. It doesn't help that it also isn't very easy to recognise someone who is depressed. My family had a family friend who committed suicide due to depression. Her family were so distraught. The last thing you could ever imagine is opening a door and finding your loved one lying there lifeless on the floor. It really is heartbreaking when you hear things like this.

I agree with your post. Talking often helps and that's why therapy exists. Depression often leads individuals to thinking that they are worthless and that their life doesnt matter or wont make a difference to anyone. The extremely sad thing is, we are all so busy in our own lives that we actually forget to acknowledge those who need the attention the most, and by the time we realise it, its too late. I understand hectic and busy schedules and I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty. I live in the UK and everyone here lives by routine, a 9-5 work day. Like I said, its very difficult to diagnose depression but its better to be safe that sorry. Any form of unusual or quiet behaviour should be enough to pull that person aside and make sure that they're okay.

To anyone on the forum, active or silent, that may be experiencing such thoughts or issues, please speak to someone. If you dont want to publicise your problems then PM someone who you know and talk it through. Suicide is never the answer and life is way too precious to just end it like that. Everyone's situations and circumstances change throughout their lives and no bad time ever stays forever. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. And there is always someone there who is willing to listen to your problems. I promise you that.

As a firm believer in God, I've always believed that there is a plan for our lives and what is meant to be will be. If there is a bad phase in your life, it's so that you come out stronger in the end, not weaker. Everything happens for a reason and you need a little rain for a rainbow. The bad allows us to appreciate the good. You just have to hang in there and work through the difficulties and you will be triumphant in the end.

I got a little carried away but seriously, suicide is never the answer guys. It doesnt matter if its family issues, work trouble or relationship problems, ending your life is not going to make it okay. If anything, you leave behind family and friends who genuinely love and care about you. They dont deserve that.

I'm sorry if I've offended or hurt anyone, that was not my intention. Live, laugh, love. Be happy and spread happiness wherever you go and remember you are never alone ❤️

P.S. I forgot to say thank you so much for making this post! Social awareness about issues like these are what will help us overcome them. Thank you once again.
