@nuckts - great post. I completely agree with you. CVs have made Sona not only Dev's slave but also Dev's mom's slave, listening to her taunts like an obedient servant and even asking the lady if she can do some extra work since she is paid a lot. Dev has also made Sona's family his slave because even if they want their daughter to have a personal life and get settled in life, they are helpless because their daughter is enslaved by Dev and family.
Instead of opening up Dev's goodness slowly, CVs decided to give him a makeover overnight. They are using random people to sing his praise. First a school teacher comes and spills his childhood greatness stories, then the peon comes when Sona's father was talking to Dev to give mithai and thank and heap praises on him, then chef comes next day to reveal what all great things Dev did to get a cake, and lastly the driver goes on at mid-night singing eloquent praise about Dev and comparing gold and brass.
On top of it Dev's Mom says 600 people work for him and 'white people' video conference with him. Sister says he is strict and workoholic.
So Sona is going to fall for him based on what she hears from two biased family members and random people singing praise of him. Why can't CVs let her make her own opinion of him through different events, slowly and surely? Why she has to listen to these random people singing his praise? Can't they come up with nice episodes (like the cake one) and slowly reveal his caring soft side to her? Without the Chef coming in the next day to explain his greatness? Let Sona figure it out na?
Strange script writing by CVs!
@ Anna - I think we are waiting in vain for those apologies. In order to apologize, he has to realize first. But CVs in stead of making him realize his mistakes are introducing random people to justify his actions. So basically the CVs think Dev did nothing wrong and need not apologize. Instead of these people coming and certifying Dev's character, they should have someone come and point out to Dev that what he did to Sona was wrong since Dev does not have the mental capacity to understand that. Now who can do that? Perhaps Dr. Sinha or some patient of Sona? But all those characters have vanished who could have helped Dev realize his mistake. Dev's mom is an arrogant proud lady who can never think her son can make mistakes; sisters are immersed in their world and have no time to think for others. So I think according to the CVs Dev is a Superman who is worshipped like God by all. And Sona will soon be another admirer of Dev Dixit.
@Diksha - He thinks she has a great job because he is paying her well. But in all she is a glorified servant in the Dixit house. And Dev does not care two hoots about her. Today's behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. But our great CVs think he has repented because he said 'sorry' the next morning and Sona should forgive him because the Driver gave her an earful on Dev's magnanimity. I think the CVs are highly confused. Somehow they want to create this macho man image who is unfriendly towards a woman employee but in general a magnanimous person.
@Lily - CVs have made his character very inconsistent. I started a thread on that earlier. On the one hand he is shown to be a mature child, gone through a lot of adversity, with hard work built his own company, loves his family and workers. But on the other hand he forgets everything about an employee who works in his house. One day he moves heaven and earth to get a cake for her, next day he asks her to wait for him and then forgets about it. Then casually says its not a big deal. What are the CVs trying to portray him as? Definitely he has personality disorder and selective amnesia.
After what Dev did in tonight's episode it will be kind of forced to see him getting attracted towards Sona in a yellow sari so soon. That is just not possible CVs. Please understand CVs. His behavior does not show he likes or respects Sona. At first there has to be realization of wrongdoing, then repentance, then respect, followed by admiration, then liking, and then love will come.
Shaheer and Erica are so charming and refreshing faces on TV. Please give them a good script to deliver. This flip flop is not doing justice to their characters.
P.S. Why Dev is asking his sister why she needs to feed Siddhu? In their family that is quite common. He eats from his mother's hand. i have never seen any grown up man eating from mamma's hands. So if he can do that, why not Siddhu?
