My box office predictions for Rocky Handsome

There are still about 8 hours left until the official collections come out for the opening day, but my prediction has been 6 crores for a couple reasons. One, John Abraham's solo films such as Madras Cafe and Force opened to approx 5 crores in the past. His last film Welcome Back opened to 14 crores with a bigger star cast and other factors. Assuming Rocky Handsome to have half the opening with John being solo, it would be 7 crores. The middle number between 5 and 7 crores is 6 crores, which is ultimately my prediction for Rocky Handsome opening day (not including paid preview).

The last time the director and John came together for a film was Force, which is treated as a box office success but the film actually didn't trend too well at the box office. Assuming a similar trend with a multiplier of approximately 5.40 of the opening day (including paid previews), Rocky Handsome could be looking at lifetime collections of only approximately 37 crores.

The reviews are not good for the film, and it does not seem like the film will find any major appreciation from the public. KRK has also trashed the film. To be honest, from the title of the film itself, I had the feeling that this film would not work at the box office.

My box office predictions for Rocky Handsome:

Opening Day: 6 crores net

Opening Weekend: 20 crores net

Lifetime Collections: 37 crores net

Overall Verdict: Flop
