This is no courtroom drama going on.. where Kunj is the judge and... he needs to observe all the happenings...all the evidences and proofs...and come to a verdict and make the right decisions... between his mother and his wife...

On one side is his mother who is surely doing over the top drama...over reacting and he knows it surely... he knows she has lost her mind... but if he would say his mother to stop it... and explain her rationality... it would be as if he is and outsider... who is giving his conclusions on right and wrong an outsider who got the news on TV... (like us viewers)... it would prove that he is devoid of any sympathy or empathy...for his mother whom he loves dearly... apart from bebe leela and twinkle... who had been with him from when he was born... he knows she is wrong... but the situation overpowers him...
In the scene we see bebe stopping Usha... Kunj is standing mum... if he really was that hypocritical and hollow as you say... he would have rushed to Usha stopped her from doing the drama.. and.. asked Twinkle to leave in anger...
