Summary of Babul Ka Ghar

Babul Ka Ghar is about a small town girl who goes through a lot of hardships and finally comes out with triumphant colors. Gauri, hails from a section of West Bengal, a sweet and simple girl who always wants her family to be happy all the time.

Gauri is emotionally attached to her father Alok and her best friend Sagar, who is a rock-star but her father dislike him because of his family background. Gauri's younger sister Kaya who is very typical town girl with attitude like her older brother Karan who has entire family responsibility on his shoulder.

Gauri always thinks about other people's happiness before herself like Karan who loves her a-lot. She only desire, for herself is a loving, caring husband like her best friend Sagar. Soon her dreams are coming to reality on the day of her marriage with her prince charming Sagar … … … … … … but destiny had something else stored for her?

Characters of Babul Ka Ghar

Gauri's Family

Alok: Father of Karan, Gauri and Kaya.

Karan: Oldest son of Alok and Nisha; works in the Kapoor industry as Shiv's Guru. Him, and Shiv are best friends but when it comes to his sister Gauri, Karan forgets everything around him.

Gauri: She is a simple girl who has no such big dreams and ambitions. Her only aim in life to keep her family and her best friend Sagar happy; her only desire in life is to have a loving, caring husband like her friend Sagar.

Kaya: Karan and Gauri pampers her a-lot that she became one attitude girl who can stand up for herself also can be a little stubborn, but loves her family a-lot.

Kapoor Family

Dada: Head of the family, married to his beloved wife Krishna who respects him a-lot. Father of Mahen, Dahask and Maya; loves his grandson Shiv and Vivan the most out of the rest of his grandkids.

Dadi: Loves her family a-lot, treats Gauri like her own grandchild.

Mahen: Married to Nikhila; father of Shiv and Palak also treats Gauri like his own daughter even though she is his best friends daughter.

Nikhila: Married to Mahen, mother of two kids but hates Gauri so much that she played with her future.

Shiv: Mahen's youngest son. Shiv is very hot-looking guy that any girl can fall for him so he takes the chance in flirting with any girls he wants. Has good business, skills from his father and Karan. He dose everything with full of energy and passion. Shiv is madly in love with Ipshita his childhood friend.

Gauri's childhood friend

Sagar: He is a famous Rock-star who is madly in love with Gauri but can't express his feeling toward her. Loves to tease her in public place but can't stand her tears.

(Rest of the characters aren't that important so I won't waste time introducing them but please bear with me for a long time. Also this will be kind of different fiction I wrote because all the songs will be played in a video clip so it will be easy to understand the situation of Babul Ka Ghar).

After such a-long time i'm updating the first part so enjoy it and also tell me what kind of prank is Shiv going to play with Gauri? And I am posting for Kashish Di cause she is buzy in her school work cause exam are coming soon so she asked me to update for her.....)

Karan was looking through his family album and remembered all his best time with his sweet, loving family in Calcutta. "Hey Man…. What are you looking at?" Said by one of his friend (who was dressed in his puma shirt with faded black jeans); Karan answered back in saying "He was looking at his old memories with his family mostly with my sister Gauri." "Hold on… … … you said Gauri… right" Said by his friend. Karan looked into his friend's eyes witch were filled with mischief than put his album down and said "Shiv don't even think of misbehaving with my sister; she is my life and my Honor" "Come' on man… … … It will just be a small prank" Said by Shiv "No one Shiv. You are not going to play with my sister's emotion or else…" "Or else what Karan…" Karan started arguing with Shiv while in a far way land a young girl is playing with her Diya (Diya means in English: candle); (the Diya she playing with, she never let it die-out because for her this present's her love for her best friend Sagar). (Gauri's character is more like Aishwarya's character in Devdas).

All of sudden the weather changed from sunny to a rainy weather, Gauri quickly covered her Diya with her bare hand. And hid inside the mandir of Ma Kali; many un-married women teased Gauri because she won't let her Diya die out in any circumstances. (In the background we hear Gauri sing a song from Devdas): Course was sung by the girls around Gauri - Mausam ne li angdaayi, aayi aayi
Laheraake barkha phir chhaayi, chhaayi chhaayi

Gauri closes her eyes and remembers all her good time with Sagar; slowly opens her eyes and notice the ladies around her hid the Diya and Gauri looks for it but it starts to rain harder but nothing happen to the diya. It was still glowing like a bulb.

Shiv and Karan aboard the flight to Delhi from there they are going to catch the train to Calcutta. Karan was so excited that he hardly got any sleep while Shiv dozes of into his dream world where it was him and his dream girl he loved since childhood. Karan sat their in his thought about "how to tell Gauri about her marriage fixed with his best friend Shiv Kapoor?"
