I have always been impressed by your style of writing and your story lines. This Story has been most intriguing right from the prologue.

But now I am even more impressed, that you put so much thought into the banners also. Really awesome!

I am not looking forward to all the dark times ahead, but of course a good story needs that I have faith in you, to know that I will love this story, come what may!!!

I fell in love with the banner and your note. I looked up and read about Dali's works and the below sentence just stole my heart away.

The soft watches are an unconscious symbol of the relativity of space and time, a Surrealist meditation on the collapse of our notions of a fixed cosmic order.

I had the opportunity to see few his works once ... not the persistence of memory but others. An artist par excellence. The thought behind the works and execution are mind-blowing.

I was discussing the painting with my husband and he said that he read somewhere about how Dali would get inspiration for his paintings. He told that Dali would hold a big plate in his hand right before he would doze off as the time between we are conscious and get into a sleep, we are in kind of a delusional state and our brain releases some pictures which would be totally unreal and we never remember them in actual circumstances as we would have dozed off in seconds.

But here, the plate would slip from Dali's hand and fall down waking him up instantly before he dozes off, so he would remember those pictures his brain had just released and in that way he got inspiration for many of his paintings.

Not sure if the above story is true or not Sandhya, but the thought itself was fascinating for me.

"Dali was intrigued with the images which occur at the boundary between sleeping and waking. They can occur when people are falling asleep, or when they are starting to wake up, and they tend to be extremely vivid, colorful and bizarre. He experimented with various ways of generating and capturing these fantastical images.

His favorite technique is that he would put a tin plate on the floor and then sit by a chair beside it, holding a spoon over the plate. He would then totally relax his body; sometimes he would begin to fall asleep. The moment that he began to doze the spoon would slip from his fingers and clang on the plate, immediately waking him to capture the surreal images."

Accidental brilliance is very rare. Striving for brilliance yields better results...right?...I think so.
