Is Deepika more successful than Katrina now?

I remember last year,people here said that Katrina is more popular and successful than Deepika even though she hasn't yet proved herself to be a good actress.

Of course! She's got commercial and critical acclaim. She seems to go up up up while Katrina's career seems to go downward (her next two release will be her rebirth or her demise )

Short answer: YES.

We need a Billa like fan of either Kat or DP to pull out BOI figures and do a comparison.😆

I dont want to downgrade Katrina but isnt she more famous because of her item numbers? And mostly male people objectifying her while girls want to look or dance like her? I think people will remember her more for her songs than the acting. Till now i was never impressed by her performance but i like her song videos the same with fitoor. The acting looks bad in the trailer but the way she dances in pashmina is amazing. Both DP and KAt presents different kind of actresses. Nowadays acting is the key in content driven movies and people start to make fun of her. She definetely has to proof that she can pull off a decent acting or producers wont gave her good roles only those flowerpot roles in which she dances. Lately those kiind of movies crashes at the BO and they wont do good for her career. People than will only remember her as Sheila, Chikni and kamli dancer. This year is definetely her test and she knows it better than us.

Hell to the yes! The last couple of years have been really good for DP which is why she is ahead of Katty today. But she is going to loose her momentum since she doesn't have any releases in 2016.

BO wise, its Katrina. She is the only female star in the country who can open a movie. Her BO record (success count) can rival Aamir and Shahrukh in the past 6-8 years.

As for who has done better movies, its Deepika. KCK, BM, Piku etc. Piku clearly demonstrate that she has come a long way. But not by that big a margin as one would think. She too has a long way to go. Her filmography and performances are nothing to write home about just yet.

Katrina this year has a good line-up where potentially she can not can get BO success but critical acclaim as well.

Fitoor looks great and going by the promos, this will be her career best performance. I don't think she will be able to top this considering just how perfect she is for the character.

BBD has an interesting concept too, that could be a good one as well. JJ looks bad as of now but with Basu you never know. He might still pull it off.

All three will be content driven movies, when was the last time you could say that for Katrina. Lets see what she makes of them.
