why Abhi did drama of 'come back as fuggy' till now..?

Today Pragya asked if he will accept her (as in accepting as a wife/lover may be).. for that he said No.

Moreover if he knows Fuggy, Fuggy will never say Yes to break up TaBhi while Tannu is preggy with his baby.
