For the last two days, there was only matter that kept every Bollywoodphile awake - why did Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor break up?

Being the private people that both Ranbir and Katrina are, both have chosen to stay mum over the issue. However the rest of Bollywood are in a kind of frenzy. Trade analysts and distributors are worried whether this would affect their upcoming films, especially when one of them is Jagga Jasoos, that stars both the actors in lead roles. There are fans who are concerned if the actors can focus on their careers after this.

But going by the history of breakups, we can say this is nothing to worry. There are some like Viveik Oberoi, who couldn't manage to revive his career after his breakup, but then there are below, who have magnificently risen from the ashes of their broken relationship like a phoenix and ruled Bollywood!

Salman Khan

Broke off from: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif

Sure, Salman Khan is now untouchable as he scaled the highest peaks of box office, by delivering back to back hits. However, there are phases when he delivered duds as well. However, his best phases happen when he comes out of a relation. After breaking off with Aishwarya Rai in 2002, he delivered hits in Baghban, Tere Naam, Garv, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. After his relation with Katrina Kaif ended in 210, he had his best phase with Dabanng and its sequel, Ready, Bodyguard, and you know the rest...In fact, none of his major films tanked!

Sure, she had a great start in Om Shanti Om, but it took her 18th film, Cocktail for everyone to take her seriously as an actress. It's not that she delivered hits before, but she was making more news for her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. They were quite open about the relationship, and everything was rosy rosy. However after the breakup, Deepika put more focus on her career. And the results were too wondrous to tell! After all didn't she won the Best Actress at the recently concluded Filmfare Awards 2016!

Yes, he had legions of female fans who swooned over his amazing body, yet he could never get off the tag of Bipasha's boyfriend, when these two were dating together. It also didn't help matter that, except for Jism, none of their films together clicked, even though they looked great as a couple. John was often criticised for his monotonous performances. But after their breakup, John focussed on the kinds of films he was doing, mixing up commercial as well as art. He scored hits through Force, Desi Boyz, Welcome Back, while also turning a successful producer who believes in quality films like Madras Cafe and Vicky Donor.
