New Delhi: Noted actor Satyen Kappu passed away Saturday evening in Mumbai following a massive cardiac arrest.
He was 76 and is survived by his wife and four daughters. It's believed that he was a severe diabetic patient and had high blood pressure. The funeral will take place at the Oshiwara crematorium this morning.
Kappu began his career in 1952 with the Indian People's Theatre Association.
He worked with top playrights and directors of his time, including filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak. Kappu was involved in over 80 films including Kati Patang, Mausam, Yadon ki Barat, Don, Sholay, and Deewar.
