I agree...SRK did that song with so much energy...Malaika rocked with her sexy moves...one of the most iconic songs ever...ironically from one of SRK's biggest flops. People would go to watch just this song and would miss it since it would come right at the beginning.

Malaika was great also. It's one of those rare songs where everyone and everything was perfect. The lyrics, music, singer, performers, background dancers, setting etc.I think this is perhaps SRK's most energetic performance. Not just the energy..even his expressions are perfect. For a song that's shot on a train, it's all very commendable.I don't understand why the film didn't do well? It's one of my favorite SRK films. 😆 I felt his performance was great. I loved his chemistry with Manisha and Manisha was awesome as well. Maybe it was ahead of its time? I don't know, but I liked it.

I cant say now why the film didnt do well..maybe it was ahead of its time. I was really young when I watched it and only remember the songs...especially being scandalized by the Tu Hi Tu song where SRK and Manisha are in one sack kind of thing?😆

Yes, Chhaiya Chhaiyya was THE iconic song and dance! SRK and Malaika rocked it on top of the moving train! Preity was cute and bubbly in her debut film, Manisha-SRK were intense!
The film was ahead of its time! Nowadays with content suddenly being appreciated by Indian audiences, Dil Se would have been a hit too if it had been released now.
