chapter 17
Dave was at pragya house, checking sarla blood pressure. its been months dave became pragya best friend. the family warm up to him easily. so it was natural for him to pop out of know where with his sister.
"Didi, dave is here" bulbul says waking her sister who was sleeping, she told bulbul to let her rest, but dave came and grab the blanket from her, making her shiver. she sat up and glares at dave " what do you think your doing" she says
"isnt it obvious, we are moving on to phase two" he says eating his apple, both sisters look at each other whispering what he said, dave nods before turning around " we have to see how fast he will come"
" what do you mean dave?"
dave sat next to bulbul and smirk, "a man would do anything to get the girl, so we are going to make him race for it."
pragya now fully awake, didnt know where this was going, bulbul on the other hand smile along with dave getting what he ment. " i think i know how we can test him" she says
so here she was with dave as her escort, he was taking her to a hotel to have dinner, but bulbul will tell abhi that dave is taking pragya to the hotel to sleep with her. pragya was busy mumbling words to herself. dave told her nothing will happen, the host smile at them before directing them to the table, pragya told dave what if abhi caught on and know we were playing with him, then what.
" are you always this worry" he says
" yes, this is a bad idea dave"
" trust me its not, if my guess is correct abhi should have gotten bulbul message right about now, we should probably hurry up and eat." he says before apologizing to pragya in his head.
elsewhere, abhi was eating with dadi and Aaliya when his phone vibrate, he looks at the the phone, surprise when bulbul name pop up. he click on the message and read it. his whole body froze, tanu seeing this asks him whats wrong, he ignores her and got up. tanu calls his name but he walk away and got in his car.
i knew this dave person couldnt be trusted, he thought, before adding chashme is to kind for her own good. he called bulbul and asks her what hotel they went to, but bulbul told him she doesnt know, she told him they've been searching and calling pragya but she wouldnt pick up. she told him shes very worried for her sister and for him to help her.
abhi told her not to worry, and that he will find her. once she hangs up h tried calling pragya but her phone was off. he slam his hand on his wheel and curse. i wont forgive dave if he does something to her, i will kill him myself if shes hurt mentally and physically. abhi went through every hotel around his area, but no one saw her, frustrated he wonder where she could be.
something was telling him to chek the hotel he took tanu, but he ignores it. he continue to search speeding, sweating, and out of breath. when he was ready to give up, bulbul told him someone spotted dave. he told her to give him the name of the hotel, he was frustrated and pissed, bulbul told him and he realize the gods must be playing with him, because it was indeed the place he took tanu to cheat on pragya.
when he reached the place, he ran inside and told the front desk that he was looking for his wife, the lady asks for her name and he said it. the lady told him her names not on the list. abhi told her to check again, it should be there, but the lady told him it wasnt. suddenly abhi got an idea, did a man name dave arrive with a lady with glasses, he says the lady thought about it before saying yes, abhi asks for the room number, but the lady refuse to give it to him.
she told him it was confidential, this did not sit well with abhi, he demand to know the room number, when the lady refused the manager came out and told her to do it since he knows abhi. abhi thank him, and he grab and race to the room. when he reached there, he opened the door to see pragya unconscious while dave was holding her saree.
few minutes ago, after they finish eating. pragya started throwing up. dave told her to rest and that he will get the car. so while pragya was sitting, she felt dizzy, the perfume scent was to strong. by the time dave came back, pragya was no where in sight. he asks one of the host and he says they took her to a room because she fainted. dave was about thank the man, when he heard abhi voice. quickly he ran to the room, when he saw pragya her saree was coming down.
blushing he walk to the bed to fix it, he grab her saree just when abhi walk in. so here fave was caught, while abhi bold his fist out of rage. he walk to the bed before punching dave, making him hit the floor. he continue beating him, not caring at all. bulbul seeing this ran inside to stop him, but dave told her not to interfere. bulbul was pleading for him to stop or he will die, but abhi wouldnt listen.
pragya woke up from all the yelling, she was still dizzy, but she lift herself up anyway. she look around and saw abhi and a bleeding dave. tiered she ran to abhi and hold his hand demanding him to stop. abhi turn and look at pragya before calming down. he let go of dave shirt and hug pragya, he touched her face with dave blood. seeing this made her sick, but instead of throwing up she fainted on abhi. worried abhi pick her up and walk out the room.
dave seeing this laugh to himself, while injured. bulbul asks him if he was ok, he told her everything went as planned. she sighs before saying you could have gotten yourself killed.
" but i didnt" he says
abhi carry pragya out the hotel until he reached his car, he puts pragya in before driving off. he drove until he reached her house before waking her up, when she woke up she smiles and call his name, but then she remembered what he did to dave. she frown before struggling to get out the car. abhi called her name telling her to stop, but pragya ignored him. he quickly got out and grab her hand, making her turn to him " let go" she says
" i wont"
" abhi, i'm not playing around let go"
"no" he says
pragya tries to free herself but he held on tighter, the rain was making her hair get stuck on her face and her clothes clinging on her. abhi told her he was sorry, and that he was so angry, he couldnt think straight. pragya says you said enough the day you divorced me. abhi looks down. he told her he was sorry again, but pragya didnt by it. she told him his always sorry, but he ends up doing something stupid. she asks him why he came to the hotel? and if he has something important to tell her?
abhi didnt really know what to tell her, he couldnt tell her that he was jealous and miss her. pragya had enough, she freed herself and start walking when abhi grab her and pull her for a kiss, surprising her. while this was going on, they were unaware of bulbul and dave in the car watching them "phase two complete" he says smiling, but quickly grab his mouth to stop the pain.
bulbul asks him, if he likes anyone, and dave looks at her smiling secretly, before poking her head, this made her pout cutely. he told her to not worry about him and worry about her relationship, before its to late. this made bulbul sad. she told him its already to late, and that purub doesn't love her, his and Aaliya engagement was announce to the world, how can she possibly stop it.
" you can first try by answering his call" he says looking at her phone that was ringing none stop. dave smile before looking out the window.
